The growing market for electric vehicles and green ESS has put secondary batteries in the spotlight. Secondary batteries are being used in new technologies such as drones, robots, and mobile, and experts predict that by 2025, the market for secondary batteries will be larger than the memory semiconductor. The industry is also discussing ways to dispose of end-of-life batteries which is emerging as another new market.

High-magnetic electromagnet stripper, a raw material for secondary batteries!

Haesung Magnet is a company that manufactures dry and wet high-performance electromagnetic strippers and non-ferrous metal 3-stage separation systems, smart metal detectors, electrostatic sorters, and grid-type iron removal magnets used in the recycling process of secondary battery raw materials and waste batteries. The company, located in Siheung City, has developed a high-magnetic electromagnetic iron stripper for secondary battery raw materials and provides two types of products, a dry iron stripper and a wet iron stripper. A dry iron stripper removes iron contained in secondary battery raw materials and various fine powders. It is a high-magnetic dry iron stripper that can remove iron content contained in raw materials before the grinding process or final packaging process, and even fine iron content in powder can be removed. The high magnetic force generated by magnetic induction is concentrated in the center of the canister to generate magnetic force in the screen filter. The strong magnetism generated at this time acts on the evenly arranged screen, and when small powders of 35 micro or less pass through, the fine iron is absorbed into the screen filter. They are piled up and the products pass through and are sorted and recovered. A wet iron stripper removes micron-sized magnetic and non-magnetic materials from slurry-type raw materials mixed with water or solvent. It is applied to the selection of secondary battery raw materials, ceramic raw materials, polymers, and mineral raw materials, and the constant current function of the dedicated electromagnet controller maintains the internal output constant even when the temperature of the electromagnet changes, ensuring uniform product quality. In particular, the programmed device function removes residual magnetism from the internal filter, allowing even the remaining magnetic material in the filter to be thoroughly cleaned. Both dry and wet methods can be adjusted to suit the user’s usage environment, and by maximizing the sorting efficiency of iron, it can increase efficiency not only in industrial sites related to secondary battery raw materials, but also in all industrial sites that require iron removal and magnetic material sorting processes.

Opening a new market with waste batteries from ‘urban mines’!

Technical consultation and production according to customer’s standards!

Haesung Magnet has developed a three-stage separation system for secondary battery waste/nonferrous metals to fully recycle waste batteries. The system sorts out non-ferrous and non-magnetic ferrous metals after pyrolyzing secondary battery waste, and provides a device that can recycle lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese, and graphite, the five core minerals of waste batteries. This is an eco-friendly recycling technique that transforms waste battery raw materials, known as urban mines, into eco-friendly recycled materials, and the company even provides recycling technology consultation to help customers with customized design and manufacture. The company also offers a non-ferrous metal electrostatic separation system for secondary battery waste, which is used to separate powdered non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminum, which are metals and conductors, including non-ferrous metals contained in secondary battery waste materials. The upper and lower sorting means are arranged in two stages, and the conductor material that is not separated in the first sorting is re-sorted in the lower sorting means for a second time to improve the sorting efficiency. In particular, the constant feeding of mixed raw materials in the vibrating feeder can further improve the sorting efficiency, and in this regard, the company also provides consultation on waste nonferrous metal separation technology to design and manufacture according to customer standards.

Mass production of advanced raw material iron removal and waste battery recycling!

Constant improvement and innovation!

Haesung Magnet continues to make progress by developing various magnet devices and systems. One of them, GMS TYPE, a grid-type magnet for removing fine iron, is capable of removing iron contained in advanced raw materials, and can be very effective when installed before the final packaging process of the product. By arranging powerful permanent magnets in multiple stages, relatively more foreign substances can be removed, and since permanent magnets are applied, semi-permanent use is possible unless there are high temperatures or other unusual environmental situations. Also, the smart metal detector for detecting metals for secondary battery raw materials is an automated metal detector with a high recovery rate of iron pieces. It is a device that sorts ferrous metals in the process of mass production of secondary battery raw materials and waste battery recycling, and is a bulk inspection method with excellent detection performance. All of these products can be customized according to the customer’s conditions through consultation. Haesung Magnet has developed and commercialized a variety of innovative technologies to maximize productivity and ease management, and is consolidating its position as a world-class magnet supplier through future-oriented business expansion.
