Korean cars in the past were regarded as cheap and not desirable. Today however they are highly sought after not only in the latest car market but also used car market. In particular, Hyundai is the hottest used car brand in Libya, Cambodia and Ghana. Statistics show that 80% of all used cars in South Korea are shipped overseas from the Korean Used Car Export Complex in Incheon. And the complex should not have been here today without the passion of one Korean man: Yoon Jong-don.

Among many used car exporters in South Korea, Yoon Jong-don, CEO of Procarvis, Profeature, Proshipping and Provision, is received as a veteran who has years of knowledge, experience and above all the expertise. 

Procarvis delivers used cars to export docks in Incheon and Pyeongtaek from provinces home and abroad. Profeature, on the other hand, is in charge of physical distribution management. 

Yoon is the one who actually created the Korean Used Car Export Complex on a 396,694 square meter land in Songdo, Incheon. 80% of all used cars pass through the complex to Africa, South East Asia, Middle East, Central Asia and South America. 

It was 1992 that Yoon jumped in used car business by establishing Sewon Warehouse. He transported, shipped and distributed Daewoo, Hyundai, Ssangyong, GM Korea and some of the renowned car rental companies in South Korea. He also took charge of carrying the cars used in filming Avengers: Age of Ultron in Seoul in 2014. 

Managing over 600 partners

Business acumen of Kim is well received and recognized among industry specialists as he now is managing and supervising over 600 used car exporters. This was resulted him of listing his name in the 2019 Innovation Leader Korea, 2019 Korea Value Management Award, and 2017 Korean Red Cross Good Company.

“Around 1,500 used car buyers from 60 countries are in business. I’m currently working on introducing an on/off line business manual that will cover export law and tax so that ordering, buying and selling can be made more effectively, efficiently and transparently” says Kim.
