우리는 오늘도 어제와는 다른 특별한 하루를 살아간다. 그 특별한 하루들이 모여 저마다의 다른 삶을 만들어낸다. 삶의 모습이 제각기 다르다는 것은 한편으론 우리에게 불안감을 안겨준다. 그 어느 누구도 내일 자신에게 어떤 일이 일어날지, 그리고 지금 자신의 선택이 어떤 결과를 낳을지 예측할 수 없기 때문이다. 이에 제현음양오행연구회의 최제현 대표는 불안한 시대를 살아가는 현대인들에게 미래를 위한 올바른 지침과 더 나은 방향을 제시하고자 쉽게 풀어 쓴 사주해설서 [내 운명을 바꿔 줄 THE 사주]를 출간하며 세간의 주목을 받고 있다.

삶에서 가장 중요한 것은 자신을 발견하고 실현하는 것
인생의 가장 큰 목적은 행복이다. 학업에 열중하고, 일에 매진하며, 타인과의 관계를 쌓아나가는 궁극적인 이유는 바로 행복하기 위해서이다. 현대사회를 살아가는 수많은 이들은 모두들 미래에 대한 불안을 안고 있다. 현재 자신이 하고 있는 일들과 선택이 미래에 행복을 가져다 주리란 확신이 없기 때문이다. 이에 대해 제현음양오행연구회의 최제현 대표는 “인생에는 결정된 운명도, 정해진 미래도 없습니다. 지금 자신의 선택이 곧 자신의 미래를 만드는 것입니다. 그러나 대다수 사람들은 그 주체가 되는 ‘나’에 대해 잘 모르고 있기에 올바른 판단과 선택을 내릴 수 없는 상황에 빠집니다. 자기 자신을 명확하게 알고, 더 나은 선택을 위한 지침을 얻는 것, 그것이 우리에게 ‘사주’가 필요한 이유입니다.”라고 말했다.
경찰수사관 출신이라는 특별한 이력을 가진 최제현 대표는 일간지 [스포츠동아]에 ‘오늘의 운세’와 사주칼럼을 연재한 것으로 우리에게 이미 잘 알려진 사주 전문가다.
당시 2007년부터 2012년까지 무려 5년간이나 연재를 이어오며 일간지 역사상 최초로 주 6회 사주칼럼 연재라는 대기록을 달성한 바 있는 그는 많은 독자들과 국민들이 ‘사주’에 대한 편견을 거두고, 보다 가깝고 친숙하게 받아들일 수 있도록 하는 데에 혁혁한 공을 세웠다는 평을 받고 있다. 그는 “내일 비가 온다는 사실을 아는 사람은 우산을 준비해 비를 피할 수 있지만, 그러한 정보가 없는 사람은 혹시 모를 비를 피하기 위해 매일 우산을 가지고 다니거나, 우산 없이 비를 맞을 수밖에 없습니다. 사주란 우리의 인생에서 언제 비가 올지, 어떤 준비를 해야 할지를 알려주는 학문입니다. 우산을 쓴다고 비를 완전히 피할 수는 없겠지만, 이를 대비한 사람과 그렇지 못한 사람은 차이를 보일 수밖에 없습니다”라고 설명했다. 자신의 사주(四柱)에 어떠한 길흉화복이 존재하는지를 안다는 것은 ‘자기 자신을 아는 것이며, ’스스로에게 앞으로의 길을 묻는 것이다. 항우와 유방의 고사에서처럼 자신의 삶을 바꿀 “건곤일척(건곤일척)”의 때를 가늠할 수 없다면, 인생에 한 번뿐인 기회를 헛되이 놓쳐버릴 수도 있으며, 흉운(흉운)을 피하지 못해 어려운 상황에 처하게 될 수도 있는 것이다.

쉽고 재미있게 풀어 쓴 사주책, ‘내 운명을 바꿔 줄 THE 사주’
동양철학과 맥을 같이하며 수천 년을 이어 내려온 사주학, 동양철학의 정수라 불리는 “사서삼경(四書三經)” 중 하나에 ‘주역(周易)’이 포함될 정도로 오랜 세월 동안 수많은 학자들에 의해 연구되어 왔음에도 여전히 사주가 우리에게 어려운 까닭은 삶의 모습이 저마다 다르기 때문이다. 개인이 타고난 기질은 같더라도 자라온 환경이나 부모가 다르고, 순간순간의 선택이 다른 탓에 사주를 해석하는 데 있어 무수히 많은 변수가 존재하는 것이다. 이러한 난제를 해결하고자 최제현 대표는 지난 7월, 사주명리를 공부하는 이들 뿐 아니라 현대인들 누구라도 사주를 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 사주해설서 [내 운명을 바꿔 줄 THE 사주]를 출간하였다.
이치나 근거가 없는 미신적인 요소들은 철저히 배제하고 음양오행(陰陽五行)과 생극제화(生剋制化)의 변화를 읽어내는 것에 초점을 맞춘 이 책은 최 대표가 직접 10년 이상 축척해 온 노하우와 경험을 집대성해 써내려간 것으로 일반인들도 읽기 쉽도록 일종의 ‘수필’ 형태를 취하고 있는 것이 특징이다. 또한, 그가 일간지에 연재했던 내용이나 고사, 다양한 사례 등을 다수 인용해 놓아 사주의 의미와 중요성을 알아가는 데에도 도움을 받을 수 있다. 그는 “자연의 일부인 인간은 살아가면서 자연스럽게 넘치는 것과 부족한 것을 정확하게 알게 된다는 뜻이며, 나쁜 운과 좋은 운에 따라 멈추고 나아갈 때를 판단하는 중요한 기준이 될 수 있습니다”라고 밝혔다. 흔히 세상에서 가장 어려운 것은 ‘나’를 알고, 잘못된 부분을 고쳐나가는 일이라고 한다. 즉, 사주를 통해 ‘나’를 알 수 있게 된다면, 스스로의 노력 여하에 따라 자신의 삶을 더 나은 방향으로 바꿔나갈 수 있게 된다는 뜻이다. 이에 덧붙여 그는 자신의 존재가치를 파악하고, 스스로에게 수없이 많은 질문을 던짐으로써 미래를 향한 올바른 길을 찾아나가는 데에도 사주가 큰 도움이 될 수 있다고 강조했다.
한편, 최 대표는 최근 친환경 곤충전문기업 벅스바이오 그룹의 서울 경기 총판인 ‘제이마루’를 설립하고 경기도 이천에서 본격적인 사업운영을 위한 마무리 공사를 진행하고 있다. 발효톱밥과 아로니아를 활용해 최적의 온도와 습도 아래서 고품질의 굼벵이를 생산하고 있는 벅스바이오 그룹 내 자회사인 ㈜벅스마루로부터 제품을 공급받아 판매하게 될 제이마루는 서울․경기권에 인접한 지리적 특성을 기반으로 삼아 약용굼벵이의 효능을 널리 알리는 데에 앞장설 계획이다. 또한 본사인 벅스바이오 그룹은 이번 제이마루 가맹을 기점으로 더 많은 가맹점에 실질적인 혜택이 돌아갈 수 있는 시스템을 구축하고자 분석과 연구에 매진하고 있으며, 이를 토대로 명실상부한 대한민국 최고의 친환경 곤충기업으로 도약하는 것을 목표로 삼고 있다.
사실 최제현 대표가 이 사업을 선택한 결정적인 이유는 자신의 사주에 사업가적인 기질이 있었다는 점과, 벅스바이오 그룹 대표 이 회장과 자신의 궁합이 매주 좋았기 때문이란 후문이다. 그는 이번 사업을 계기로 더 많은 이들이 약용굼벵이를 통해 건강한 삶을 누릴 수 있게 되길 바란다는 기대감을 전했다. 이에 덧붙여, 정확히 때를 알고 나선다면 성공은 자연스럽게 따라 오는 부산물 같은 것이라고 최 대표는 말한다. 그러나 아무리 좋은 운이 왔다고 할지라도 이치에 맞지 않는 행동은 용두사미(龍頭蛇尾)가 될 수 있음을 명심해야 한다고 강조했다.
‘성공은 스스로 개척하는 자의 것이다’라는 말이 있다. 자신의 부족한 부분을 덧대고, 넘치는 부분운 덜어내 가는 것은 분명 쉽지만은  않은 일이다. 그러나 번데기의 과정을 거쳐야만 나비가 하늘로 날아오를 날개를 펼 수 있듯이, 스스로를 바꿔가려는 노력은 인생에 있어서의 성공을 가져다 줄 것임에 틀림없다. 최제현 대표의 이러한 노력이 더 많은 사람들의 행복을 위한, 그리고 그들의 미래에 대한 희망의 빛으로 자리하게 되길 기대한다.

“Finding myself and fulfilling is the most important thing in life”
Everybody wants to be happy. We study hard, work hard and try hard to build a good relationship with people all because we want to be happy. Yet we are not sure about our future and live in fear. 

“There is no set destiny or future. The choice you make today will be the result of the future. The problem I think is that most people don’t know who they are so they cannot make a right decision. This is the point where the Four Pillars of Destiny can give a guide” says Choi Jae-hyun, the president of Jaehyun Yin & Yang and Five Elements Research Center.

Choi used to be a police detective and the one who wrote the serial ‘today’s fortune’ and ‘four pillars of destiny’ on Sports Donga for 5 years from 2007 to 2012. He is praised for contributing to making the four pillars of destiny easy for everybody.

“You can avoid being wet if you know it will rain tomorrow. The four pillars of destiny is a study that lets you know when the rain falls and what you need to prepare. Of course the umbrella doesn’t protect your whole body from being wet but it will cover important parts.”

Knowing the good and bad luck in your four pillars of destiny (year, month, day and hour of birth) is to know about yourself and to ask about your future paths. In other words, you will know when to stake everything you have as you can miss the once in a life time opportunity otherwise. Or you can also be in difficulty because you did not avoid the bad luck. 

The four pillars of destiny that will change your fate
The studies about the four pillars of destiny have been carried on for many years since ancient times and the theories appeared in a number of old books which still read by people of today. Yet the reason it is difficult for normal people is because every person walks different path of life. Different parents, different living environments and the choices we make every moment affect the four pillars of destiny. 

In an effort to make the theory easy for normal people, Choi gathered together his knowledge and published a book titled ‘The Pour Pillars of Destiny That Will Change your Fate’. He avoided any elements that can be seen as superstitions or invalid but focused on principles of yin & yang and the five elements and ‘sanggukjaehwa’. Choi poured 10 years of his knowhow and experience in the book in a form of essay so that normal people can easily understand. 

“Human beings are part of nature. Therefore, they are affected by the principles of yin & yang and the five elements. So knowing the four pillars of destiny is to know what is abundant and what is short of oneself. In other words, you can know the time when to go forward and when to go backward depending on the timings of good and bad lucks.”

Some say that changing oneself probably is the most difficult thing to do. But if you know about yourself through the four pillars of destiny and make an effort, you can lead your life with better directions. It is also helpful to study about yourself and throw questions to yourself to know the right directions, advises Choi.

Meanwhile, Choi recently established ‘J Maru’, a sole distributor of Bugsbio Group in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and is pushing forward the final stage of the preparation in Icheon City. Bugsbio Group produces high quality cicada larva with fermented sawdust and aronia in optimum temperature and moisture and Choi will be supplied the cicade larva from Bugs Maru, an affiliate of Bugsbio Group, to distribute the products in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. 

Bugsbio Group has been carrying out analysis and researches in order to introduce effective management systems that can bring substantial profits to its business partners with a goal to grow Bugsbio Group as the best eco-friendly insect company in Korea. 

Choi started this business because there is entrepreneurship in his four pillars of destiny and also the business compatibility with Bugsbio Group Chairman Lee was matched well, some people say. Choi hopes that more people will lead a healthy life on the benefit of medicinal cicada lavas. He says that a success is like a by-product that comes if you know the right timing. But not matter how big your luck is, the luck can be useless if you act against reason.

There is a saying “Success is for those who pioneer the way”. It is not easy to add what is short and to take away what is overflow. But a success will come if you work hard to change yourself like a butterfly must goes through the process of being a pupa. <Power Korea> hopes that more people will find a helpful advice from Choi.
