Have the true taste of Thai food
CEO Gang Gyeong-woo of Little Thai Kitchen

The essence of Thai food found at Little Thai Kitchen
Thai food is famous for using hundreds of spices that one cannot help falling in love with it once experienced its unique pungent yet sweet and sour taste.

Located in Jangnyang-dong, Buk District, Pohang City, Little Thai Kitchen is well known for many locals as the place where they can taste the essence of the Thai food such as tom yum goong, Pad Thai, rice noodle, appetizers and salads and Thai beers.

“I and my wife love traveling around the world and we’ve tasted a lot of different world foods. So we developed our ideas to introduce these exotic foods to Korean people” says CEO Gang Gyeong-woo of Little Thai Kitchen.

Gang focused on ‘the taste’. Thai foods are already well known among many Koreans but many of them are different from the original taste. Gang’s idea naturally was to bring the authentic taste to make his restaurant stand out from others.

Gang traveled to and from Thailand to secure authentic ingredients and recipes and tried hard to turn it into a balanced taste that can both satisfy Koreans and the Thais living in Korea.

“Unlike other Thai restaurants that use so-so sources and recipes, it is our principle not to compromise with taste.”

The competitive price also cannot be missed to mention alongside authentic taste of the Thai foods made at Little Thai Kitchen.

Launching franchise
Gang’s success did not come easily as he had to gone through many difficulties and watched his businesses went failure.

“I was really sorry for my family. But I straightened up myself and started to analyze why I failed. And I found that I missed ‘people’ and that was building trust with my staff and customers.”

Thus establishing the people-centered management philosophy, he launched Little Thai Kitchen and this time he received explosive responses from people. Taking the momentum, he opened Joy Vangkok near Daeju Mountain Expressway and suggested two types of franchise models: luxury type and small-capital type.

“I have a goal to grow Little Thai Kitchen as a successful food franchise in Korea based on my knowhow and experience in a form of cooperative or FnB. When successful, I think I can make a contribution to vitalizing the food industry in Korea.”
