채권관리를 전문분야로 지난 2014년 1월 개업한 법률사무소 바른숲은 임규영, 정영덕 변호사의 2인 체제로 구성되어 있다. 동아대학교 법학전문대학원을 거쳐 대형 법무법인 소속변호사로서 활동해 온 두 변호사의 가장 큰 장점은 3~4년의 그리 길지 않은 경력 속에서도 다양한 분야와 사건을 경험해왔다는 점이다. 기업채권보전, 손해배상, 공사·물품대금, 대여금, 사해행위 등의 민사 사건과 이혼, 재산분할 및 위자료, 양육비, 상속, 유류분 등의 가사 사건은 물론이고 형사와 행정사건까지 두루 경험하며 폭넓은 경험을 축적해왔다. 

특히 임규영 변호사는 경남 합천 가야면 마을변호사와 부산 명륜초·국립경상대·금헌학원 고문변호사, 기술신용보증기금 벤처재기심의위원 등의 역할을 수행하고 있으며, 신용보증기금과 기술신용보증기금, 한국자산관리공사 등 다수 금융기관의 자문, 소송업무를 맡기도 했다. 정영덕 변호사 또한 진주시 종합사회복지관 자문변호사와 진주동중·국립경상대 고문변호사, 창원지방검찰청 진주지청 법사랑 형사정책위원, 창원지방법원 진주지원 조정위원 등의 역할을 수행하고 있다.

법률사무소 바른숲은 진주지역에서도 가장 젊은 변호사 사무실 가운데 하나이다. 다양한 분야에 걸친 왕성한 활동으로 쌓아온 풍부한 경험은 젊은 에너지와 맞물려 훌륭한 시너지 효과를 창출하고 있다. 임 변호사는 “지금껏 경험한 것보다 앞으로 경험하게 될 사건들이 더 많다는 점이 저희에겐 더 큰 원동력이 되고 있습니다. 아무리 작은 사건이라도 2명의 변호사가 함께 직접 상담하며 다각적인 사건 분석과 보다 효과적인 대응책, 해결책을 모색하기 위해 최선을 다하겠습니다”라고 밝혔다.

바른숲은 채권관리 뿐만 아니라 지역 내 기업체와의 고문계약 체결을 통한 기업 법률매니지먼트 분야도 추진하고 있다. 기업체 사업전반의 리스크 관리 및 계약서 검토를 통해 분쟁의 발생여지를 사전에 방지하고, 발생 가능한 미수채권의 채권추심을 통해 기업체의 자본형성, 유지를 꾀하고자 하는 것이다. 정 변호사는 “최근 들어 기업 간 민사, 형사 분쟁이 급증하고 있는 추세입니다. 때문에 전문적인 법률문제 관리를 꾸준히 지속하지 않으면 어려운 상황에 처하게 될 가능성이 높습니다. 하지만 아직까지 고문계약을 통한 리스크 관리를 생소하게 여기는 사업주들이 많아 홍보에 어려움이 있습니다”라고 설명했다.

Two men system to solve legal conflicts efficiently
Opened in January 2014, Lim & Jeong Law Firm is run by two men system. Both two men studied in Graduate School of Law at Dong-A University and worked for a large law firm for 4 years.

They have accumulated their experience by solving various legal conflicts such as protection of corporate bonds, compensation for damages, product/project settlement, loan, deceptive act, civil case, divorce, division of property, alimony, child support expense, inheritance and a legal portion of an heir. Lim provided his service for villages in Gaya-myeon, Hapcheon Country, and Myeongyun Elementary School, Gyeongsang National University and Geumhun Academy as advisory lawyer, and gave advice or took a case for The Trust Guarantee Funds, Korea Technology Finance Corporation and Korea Asset Management Corporation. He is also working as a member of Venture Rehabilitation Committee of Korea Technology Finance Corporation. Jeong on the other hand provided his service as advisory lawyer for Jinju Social Welfare Center, corporate lawyer for Jinju Dong Middle School and Gyeongsang National University, a member of Detective Policy Committee of Changwon Supreme Prosecutor’s Office Jinju Branch, and a member of Adjustment Committee of Changwon District Court Jinju Branch.
