주식시장은 국내외의 정치․경제․사회․문화적 제반 요소들에 의해 무수히 많은 영향을 받는다. 그만큼 세계 증시 변동에 따라 국내 증시의 변동 역시 큰 폭으로 일어날 수 있는 가능성을 무시할 수 없다. 최근 국내 주식시장을 들썩이게 한 것은 중국 위안화의 평가절하 움직임이었다. 지난 8월 중순 위안화 평가절하는 우리 주식 시장의 새로운 국면을 맞게 하였으며 시장에는 여전히 불안 요소가 잠재해 있다. 세계로TV 김원기 대표는 “중국 같은 큰 규모의 나라에서는 초고속 성장만이 대안이 될 수 없다. 최근 중국의 움직임은 그에 따른 필수적인 조정이며 시장에 어떤 영향을 줄 것인지는 장기적으로 바라보아야 한다. 이럴 때일수록 세계 증시의 상황을 면밀히 살피고 오히려 투자의 기회로 삼는 것이 바람직하다”고 말했다.

지난 21일 남대문시장에서는 사랑의열매가 주최하고 세계로TV, 연세대학교 FCEO 총동문회 등이 후원한 ‘박상민&황기순의 사랑 더하기’ 행사가 열렸다. 이번 ‘사랑 더하기’ 행사는 지난 2000년부터 시작되어 올해로 14회를 맞았으며, 우리 주변의 불우한 이웃들을 위해 휠체어를 구입해 전달하고 해외 빈곤국에도 휠체어 지원을 이어가고 있는 뜻 깊은 행사다. 이날 행사에서는 김원기 대표와 강학봉 사랑의열매 중앙회 모금사업본부장이 기금 전달식을 갖고 김 대표가 기부한 사랑더하기 휠체어 기금 2,000만원을 전달받았다.

김 대표는 “세계로TV의 회원 분들과 기부를 이어가며 어르신 식사 대접과 장학금 지급 등 어려운 사람들과 함께하며 이것이 정말 보람된 일이라는 것을 알게 되었다. 이번 기부는 세계로TV 강연을 통해 알게 된 탤런트 김정렬 씨의 소개로 지인인 황기순 씨가 사랑의열매와 이런 뜻 깊은 행사를 진행하고 있는 것을 알게 되어 참여한 것이다. 앞으로도 꾸준히 어려운 분들과 나눌 수 있는 기회를 찾을 예정이다”라고 소감을 밝혔다.

한편 사랑의열매는 어렵고 힘든 이웃들에게 희망을 주기 위한 민간모금기관인 사회복지공동모금회의 상징물로, 사회복지공동모금회의 설립 이전인 1966년 수재민 돕기 성금 모금 당시 상징물로 처음 등장해 70년대 중반 모금활동이 민간에서 정부 주도로 넘어가며 잠시 사라졌다가 1991년 부활한 이후 나눔과 사랑의 마스코트로 자리 잡고 있다. 사회복지공동모금회는 1998년 설립 이후 꾸준히 기부문화의 성숙을 이끌어 사회공동체의 발전과 나눔 문화의 정착을 도모하고 있다.

“경제 성장 조정은 단순한 문제 아냐... 고려할 부분 많다”
지난달 8일, ‘한국의 워렌 버핏’으로 불리는 세계로TV 김원기 대표의 무료 주식강연회가 서울 공덕동 한국사회복지회관 6층에서 진행되었다. 이 날 강연을 시작하기에 앞서 작년 연말 광진구 워커힐 호텔에서 진행되었던 VIP강연회에 사회자로 참여했던 개그맨 김정렬 씨가 강연장을 찾아 청중들에게 인사를 건넸다.

김원기 대표는 강연이 진행되는 3시간 내내 신가치투자를 이용해 시장을 읽는 법, 중국의 신성장산업에 따른 향후 주식시장의 방향성 예측 등 주식투자의 20년 경력을 활용해 주식투자의 알짜배기 정보를 전달했다.

최근 금융계에서는 중국 시장의 움직임이 심상치 않다는 이야기가 들려왔다. 장기간에 걸친 경제 구조조정과 통화완화 정책 등으로 인해 투자자들의 심리 또한 한겨울처럼 얼어붙었다. 특히 14일 위안화 평가절하 중단 직전까지만 해도 11일 1.86%, 12일 1.62%, 13일 1.11%씩 전일보다 기준 환율이 급격하게 하향 조정되었다.

이에 김원기 대표는 “중국은 개혁개방 이후로 매년 10% 전후의 경제 성장 폭을 보이고 있다. 그만큼 급속한 경제발전을 이루고 있다는 것인데, 이번 조정 역시 성장의 폭을 조절하겠다는 것에 가깝다”며 “고령화에 따른 의료․제약․바이오 시장의 폭발적인 증가, 전통산업 통합을 통한 구조조정 등 중국 시장에는 고려해야 할 점이 많다”고 이야기했다.

Stock market is much affected by political, economic, social and cultural environments both home and abroad. Fluctuations in global stock markets can cause  even a bigger fluctuation in the domestic stock market. The recent devaluation of Chinese yuan in last August has greatly affected the Korean stock market and caused anxiety. Kim said "The high speed growth cannot be the only answer for China. China's recent movement is a necessary adjustment for the stock market and the effect it might cause need to be considered in a long term perspective. Investors are advised to analyse global stock markets in detail and use it as an opportunity for their investment." 

Meanwhile, the popularity of Kim not only comes from his 20 years of knowhow in stock investment but also from his continuous social contribution. He regularly provides free meals for people in need and scholarships to excellent students. He has recently donated twenty million won (about $16,686) for buying wheelchairs at the event called 'Park Sang-Min & Hwang Ki-Soon's Sharing Love' held by Community Chest of Korea.

'Park Sang-Min & Hwang Ki-Soon's Sharing Love' was held by Community Chest of Korea on 21 August at Namdaemun Market. The event was sponsored by Segero TV and Yonsei University's FCEO Alumni. The yearly event was started in 2000 and it gives out free wheelchairs to people in need both home and abroad. Kim and Hakbong Kang, the head of Fund-raising Department, held an opening ceremony and Kim donated twenty million won.  

Kim said "I and the members of Segero TV have donated part of our profit to people in need for many years and we feel really worth. I came to know this event by comedian Jeong-yeol Kim, who became a member of Segero TV, and his friend Ki-soon Hwang. I will keep finding more opportunities to share my profits with people in need."  

Community Chest of Korea was established in 1966 to help flood victims, stopped the operation in the mid 70s when fund-raising was controled by the government but restarted its activities in 1991 and has become a symbolic charity organization. Officially reestablished in 1998, Community Chest of Korea has been exerting its unsparing effort in promoting donation culture.

Known as Korean Warren Buffett, Kim held a free lecture on stock investment at Social Welfare Center located around Gongdeok Subway Station. The comedian Jeong-yeol Kim, who hosted the Kim's VIP lecture held at Walkerhill Hotel at the end of last year, also attended at the lecture and gave his greetings to the audience.

During the 3 hour lecture, Kim delivered his brainchild 'new value investment' and a future prospect of stock market based on China's new growth industry. According to the financial world, the recent movement in the Chinese market is not common and prolonged economic reform and easing of monetary policy have discouraged investors. Especially, the basic exchange rate was downgraded by 1.86% on the 11th, 1.62% on the 12th and 1.11% on the 13th before the halt of the devaluation of Chinese yuan on the 14th. 

Kim said "China has shown an average 10% yearly growth rate since its economic reform and opening. This is a rapid growth rate but the country seems to control its speed now. There are many things to be taken into consideration in the Chinese market such as the explosive increase of the medical, pharmaceutical and bio industries triggered by aging society and structural reform based on the convergence of the traditional industries.

With his knowledge on stock investment and his virtue to share things with other people made him one of the top stock consultants and Kim is now ready to enter into the global market over Korea.
