아날로그식 도우미 찾기의 불편함, 모바일웹에서 해답을 찾다

맞벌이 부부들이 출산 후 각자의 업무에 복귀하며 가장 먼저 부딪치는 문제는 양육타임과 근무타임이 겹친다는 점이다. 그래서 양육 도우미를 구하지만, 시간과 조건에서 자신들의 요구를 관철시키기가 쉽지 않다. 물건이 아닌, 부부의 소중한 자식을 맡겨야 하기 때문이다. 알음알음, 혹은 입소문에 의지했던 도우미구하기를 디지털 시대에 맞추어 변형한 서비스가 화제다. 모바일웹의 앱 서비스 돌보밍으로 대안을 제시한 이승준 대표를 만나본다. 

필요는 발명의 어머니, 그래서 어머니들을 위한 ‘필요충족’을 발명하다
생활혁신의 첫걸음은 ‘편리함’이다. 가장 필요한 기능을 제시하는 혁신은 양육 시장에도 찾아왔다. 모바일 앱 서비스 ‘돌보밍’은 라이프스타일 이노베이터즈(주)의 첫 도전이다. 그리고 공고를 붙이거나 종교, 문화단체 등을 통해 소개식으로 이루어진 육아와 가사 서비스 구인구직 과정을 모바일 앱을 통해 중개하는 방식으로, 30대 전후 직장인 주부들로부터 큰 공감을 얻고 있다. 이승준 대표는 생활 속에서 이 서비스의 필요를 절감해 아이디어를 냈다고 한다.

“7살 된 아들을 낳고 맞벌이를 하는 우리 부부는 양육 도우미를 찾는 과정에서 너무 많은 시간과 노력을 소모하며 불편을 겪었었다. 주변사람들의 정보에 의지해 힘겹게 찾았는데, 2년 후 도우미를 다시 구하는 과정에서 여전히 나아진 것이라곤 없었다. 수요는 많은데 구매 소비자를 위한 프로세스가 부족했다. IT시대에 오프라인, 아날로그식으로만 이루어지는 비효율적 서비스에서 대안을 제시하고 싶었다” 더군다나 비용을 지불하면서도 혹여 아이에게 스트레스가 전가될까봐 고용하는 입장에서 오히려 을이 되는 경우가 많기에, 부모를 안심시키는 동시에 도우미 희망자들의 정보를 체계적으로 정리해 모두에게 도움이 되는 시스템이 절실한 시점이었다. 그래서 이 대표는 구매자들이 가장 많이 가지고 있는 플랫폼인 모바일폰의 앱을 이용해, 선택의 기회를 활용하는 기반으로 삼았다. 도우미의 경우 가사 및 육아 도우미가 있으며, 최근에는 청소나 가정관리를 대행하는 도우미를 구하는 독신 가정이 늘고 있어서 남녀 모두를 고객으로 설정하고 있다. “육아와 가사를 고루 커버할 생각이지만, 주요 포커스는 바로 회사 설립의 목적이기도 한 육아 도우미에 맞춰져 있다”

고객부담 NO. 새롭고 친근하고 합리적인 앱 플랫폼
이 대표는 1차 목표로서 6월 새로운 서비스를 업데이트할 예정이다. 서비스 구매희망자들이 도우미의 사진을 보고 기본 경력과 신상정보를 파악할 수 있는 필터링 기능이다. 도우미 소개소와 이용자간의 플랫폼 역할을 하는 셈이다. 또한 단발성 가사청소 서비스를 회원가입제를 통해 운영하며, 날짜를 정하고 금액을 결정하면 서비스를 받는 앱을 런칭할 것이다. 이 대표는 다른 3가지 서비스도 준비하고 있다. “산후 도우미, 간병 도우미, 가정보육교사다. 이들은 기본 서비스를 이용하다 보면 필요한 파생 서비스들이다. ‘아누리’라는 전문업체와 파트너쉽을 체결하여, 어린이집에 등원하기 이전의 아이들을 대상으로 보육프로그램을 집에서 미리 체험할 수 있다. 앞으로는 아누리가정보육교사 자격증을 만들어, 옵션에 신뢰도를 더할 것이다. 이렇게 하면 총 6가지 서비스, 즉 가사, 육아, 산후조리, 간병, 가정보육교사, 단발성 청소서비스 메뉴를 갖추게 된다” 기업의 이익은 현재 소개소와의 광고 수수료로 얻어진다. 그리고 소개소와 이용자의 연결 형식이기에, 단발성 가정방문 청소서비스를 제외하면 이용자가 앱에 따로 지불할 비용은 없다. 또 오프라인 회원가입에 흔히 있는 연회비 지불도 없기에 고객의 부담을 한결 덜었다. 이 시스템은 소개소가 돌보밍에 광고비를 지불하고, 돌보밍은 고객 검색이라는 수단으로 홍보를 해 주는 악어와 악어새 같은 관계 덕분에 가능했다. “가계약을 한 업체가 약 40여개다. 올해 중순을 넘어서면 시장 규모는 더 커질 것이다. 한 업체에서 통상 30-50명 정도 등록되어 올해 연말쯤 되면 1천-2천 명 정도의 도우미를 시스템에 올릴 수 있을 것으로 예상한다” 이 대표는 아울러 서울, 경기 및 인천 등에서 진행하고 있는 이 서비스가 2016년에는 지방까지 확대될 것으로 전망하고 있다. 

넓어진 선택폭과 디테일한 옵션추가로 고객 호응 예상돼
이 대표는 이 서비스의 가장 큰 장점을 “고객 선택의 권리를 찾는 것”으로 규정한다. 고용서비스 협회에서 인정한 곳의 정보를 올리고, 조건이 맞아도 성향이 매칭되지 않으면 다른 도우미를 소개하고, 보험에 가입하며 부대서비스를 제공하여 고객을 만족시킨다. 그리고 등록한 소개소가 책임지는 방식으로서, 특히 육아도우미의 경우 연령, 성별, 국적 같은 기본 사항에서부터 인품, 인상, 기존에 도우미로 일한 가정의 성향과 가택구조, 상황에 따라 대처하는 도우미로서의 능력치나 경험치 등 기존 아날로그 방식에서 선택의 권한이 없었던 디테일한 특징까지 반영한다. 그러다 보니 이 대표는 돌보밍을 통해 도우미 계약을 맺으면 기존 방식보다 고객만족도가 더욱 높아질 수밖에 없다고 자신 있게 전했다. “돌봄서비스 중 육아의 비중이 클 수밖에 없다. 어린이집의 3-4시 하원시간대가 직장인 엄마들의 가장 큰 고민이기 때문이다. 게다가 예상치 못한 야근으로 아이가 있을 곳이 없어진다. 풀타임과 입주, 파트타임과 격일제 등 유동성 있는 계약을 원하는 고객들은 우리의 서비스를 통해 큰 도움을 받을 수 있을 것이다” 조건에 맞는 도우미를 편리하게 찾을 수 있고, 1주일이나 한 달 이상 찾고도 마음에 들지 않아 그 과정을 다시 반복하는 일은 돌보밍에 없다. 짧게는 2일, 신중하게 찾더라도 1주일이면 내 가정에 꼭 맞는 도우미를 발견할 수 있다. 현재 출시된 베타버전에 이어, 6월 말에는 아이폰 베타버전이, 안드로이드 iOS 정식 버전은 내년 초 출시된다. 하나의 아이디어가 한 때 자신이 겪은 불편함을 앞으로도 겪게 될 많은 이들의 삶을 윤택하게 해 줄것이라는 이 대표의 확신은 앞으로도 업계의 주목을 받을 것이다. 편리함과 인간미를 갖춘 새로운 서비스를 꾸준히 업데이트할 이 대표의 맞춤형 서비스를 앞으로도 기대해 본다.

It is probably the issue that they cannot take care of their baby on their own as their working time coincides with their baby sitting time. So they try their best to find a babysitter; it doesn’t look easy at all finding a good one who fits their conditions including time and rate. And the couple knows that it is never easy to pick up a babysitter as the babysitter is the one who will be taking care of your precious child. So only some lucky couples manage to get a good babysitter through word of mouth. However finding a babysitter in a digital way is now the talk of the town. When it comes to the innovative babysitting and other personal service, Lifestyle Innovators has launched ‘dolboming’, the mobile app service as a market leader. dolboming recruits babysitters and domestic assistants which had been wanted through word of mouth from religious, cultural, or social groups, becoming popular among working moms aged 30 and over. According to CEO Lee Sung Jun, this service reflects the spirit of our age. My wife and I were both working when my wife had a baby delivered. We had to pour time and energy to find a babysitter – After all we felt exhausted. We ended up finding one with the help of friends and neighbors. But now after 2 year, we have to do it all over again and this is so frustrating.

Demand for such service remains strong but we have still seen insufficient intermediators that can connect the demand and supply. I wanted to make inroads into the brokerage service by creating something innovative and alternative that is appropriate to the IT era. In recent days, there is no service system that is reliable to the couples as well as job seekers as a babysitter or personal caregiver. Accordingly, Mr. Lee came up with this idea of using app service on smartphones as a platform for providing such service system as most people have the smart device. Our main targets are domestic assistants and babysitters, I now consider expanding them into the customized cleaners including home managers as more and more single householders are becoming larger.

No burdens with a new, friendly and efficient app platform
CEO Lee has a plan to update the existing service on June. This update will help customers glance at the assistants’ career experiences and basic personal information with the photos. It is expected to be a platform that connects domestic assistants’ brokers with the users. In addition, CEO Lee will run a single domestic cleaning service with subscription where a user can select a specific date for the cleaning service and pay the fee through the app. In the near future, 3 more services will be coming out – maternal assistants, caregivers for the sick, family child care teacher These services are derivatives of our main services. We are going to enter in partnership with Anuri to offer a new service that the couples can experience the nursing program for children not old enough to enroll at Daycare Center at home in advance.

As part of our efforts, we will issue a certificate for Anuri family child care teacher to add the credential to this service. In this way, 6 services in total will be offered – Domestic assistants, Babysitters, maternal assistants, caregivers for the sick, family child care teachers, and single cleaners To user this service app, users are able to sign up for free and don’t have to pay commission for the 5 services except single cleaning service – this will make customers feel less burdened. That is to say, the brokers pay the promotional fees to dolboming for searching or finding their potential customers through it.

CEO Lee said “We have already entered in temporary contract with almost 40 brokers and I see more brokers will be using this service in the middle of this year. Given that one broker normally registers 30-50 assistants, 1,000-2,000 assistants will be uploaded on our system in the end of this year.”, continued “This service is now available in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon only but will be expanded across the nation in 2016.”

The broader, detail options will attract more and more customers
One of the strong points of this service is that customers can have their rights to make a choice of it according to CEO Lee. Brokers upload the reliable information permitted by Korea National Employment Service Association and try their best to get the right assistant until customers are satisfied with. And of course this service is insured and comes with additional services. The brokers are responsible for any issues that may arise regarding the assistant information – the age, gender, nationality, personality, first impression, history of career (including the family’s characteristics or type of house), and capability depending on the situation, which had been never expected in the traditional way of employment process. CEO Lee emphasizes that this innovative system will increase customers’ satisfaction for sure.
“Babysitting is mainly demanded among caregiving services as the working moms need this service during the time between after the daycare center finishes at 3-4 in the afternoon and by the time their work is off or their overtime work finishes. Our customized mobile app service will be working efficiently for those.” They can find a good babysitter in an easy and simple way no matter who they is working full time, part time, every other day or live-in. It no longer takes more than one week to find a suitable babysitter.

We have released a beta version for this app, following iPhone beta version at the end of June and then iOS regular version for Android will be coming out early next year. One new idea comes out of what you have once experienced and this idea will help a lot of people live better, CEO Lee said.
