Let us give a big smile and a laughter
Sensibility maker, psychology lecturer and Power Teacher CEO Jinhee Park

Removing gray shadow on people's face
Park decided to heal people with laughter when she saw depression on their face. Through numerous consulting with people, Park learned how to communicate with people in trouble and this made her firmer to provide people smile and laughter. Park says "I've run a daycare center for 15 years. I was naturally interested in counseling psychology and psychological therapy as I have a bright personality. So I completed both graduate and PhD courses in the field. I sensed that many people including counselors themselves have their own burden and were depressed one way or the other. It was even natural to see people depressed while I was carrying out various CS training and lectures. I in fact sometimes get depressed as well and I feel like I had to something for myself and for others to come over the hardships we all face in our lives."

The meaning of healing people with laughter
Park titles herself as 'a sensibility maker and psychology lecturer'. She wanted to be with people together by being a therapist who can make people happy with laughter. Park built effective lecturing contents and has ability to naturally draw laughter from the audience through team building games and recreations she created. Park says "laughter is happiness. Everybody has to have it but somehow many of us have lost it for a long time. Take children nowadays for example. They are becoming lethargic and depend themselves heavily on smart phones while their parents are busy getting by. We lost communication and laughter." For this reason, Park thinks that now is the time for all of us to participate in the healing process and changing ourselves. Park added that it is also important for the therapists to build their own unique and creative contents so that they can draw active engagement from the audience. Park continues "I'm currently giving lectures twice a month at Silver Sanatorium in Chungju. I also opened Laughter Therapist Certificate Course last January and have so far gathered 20 prospective students through my blog. It think the course will be a great opportunity for both myself and the students to actualize their passion and ideas and it will be a meaningful job to help people regain their laughter." Whenever Park gives a lecture there always is full of laughter in the room and people naturally open their heart out to Park and share their stories with each other. Park said that she feels worth when she gets touched by the positive energy she created with the audience.

How do you feel?
Park says "I laugh a lot when doing team building programs during the lecture. Everybody gets a little bit shy and awkward at first but they soon get familiar with the atmosphere through the program. Especially, there are many male audience who are not confident enough to express themselves and I ask them to have interest in themselves as a remedy for it. This is because that the point of my lecture is closely related to self interest and communication in psychological terms. To know one's own state of emotion, propensity and personality is very important to engage with others. For example, when I ask "How do you feel?" and you answer like "I don't Know. I don't much care and I just live", then that's the very point you have to start to work on your emotion, interest and passion in life. Dealing with your emotion when being with other people can be awkward and trivial but it is very important to build a good relationship. Smile and laughter in this term can play a bridge role to connect with each other in nice and friendly terms or you can call it an ice breaker if you like." Park recently visited a prison to give a lecture and she said that it was a remarkable and touching experience that they both made that much laughter in a place where laughter seems to be non existent. Why are smile and laughter important? Because it not only heals our feelings but improves quality of our lives.

* Park currently is the CEO of Power Teacher and exerting her effort in fostering talented laughter therapists and creating innovative lecturing contents.
