The answer to the age of low interest is at investment technique and financial planing
Lee (MFC) has a philosophy that insurance is to prepare one's future while enjoying today. Lee built his career in banking and stock firms in his university years and soon was intrigued by the fact that the insurance planners have to visit clients first. His conviction 'to survive without the help of family and acquaintance' made him achieve the Year Award as the youngest and the shortest insurance planner of Meritz Fire within 2 years of his career in the company. His secret is to give practical help to clients through customized financial planning. Lee explains about the product of 'death benefit plan' by saying "it saves you up to $30,000. The reason is that you have to pay $160 per month based on $100,000 from the age of 30 till death but if you pay based on $200,000 between 30 and 55, $100,000 between 55 and 60, $30,000 between 60 and 80, and $10,000 between 80 and 100, the monthly payment becomes $55. You can set a small budget when your are younger and a relatively big budget when you are older. By doing that you can save up to 66.5% and you can use the difference to invest in self-development and family." Lee's suggestion and plan were welcomed from many people including his clients. Lee continues "it's the age of low interest. This means that you need to rather focus on pension and savings insurance that can guarantee you a sustainable interest. Unlike bank savings which can charge you more than 15% tax for the interest, you can get tax free as well as positive investment effect if you stay with the insurance for 10 years." For this practical and professional advice, Lee was recognized in the market as a highly competitive financial planer.

Insurance that saves you money
Lee gives lectures to other financial planners five to six times a month. Lee is called as a poet as he has a unique sales strategy. Lee says "I provide my clients information about insurance products that must be avoided while telling them how to effectively use the products they choose." For example, Lee recommends reversed mortgage loan for low income families or middle class so that they can use their property to be used as money for living rather than to pass it down to their children. On the other hand, he recommends upper class to reduce inheritance tax and gift tax. For this reason, Lee sometimes recommend life insurance for those who visited him for a consultation. By doing that he might lose short term profits but he can gain trust from his clients in the long term. Lee says "I advise my clients to make a bucket list and use the spare fund for investment. Rather than keeping the common rule to invest 10% in insurance, I advise to see the possibility of increasing their asset value through banking and stock and then invest 4 to 7% in insurance and 7 to 15% in pension." Lee also advises to avoid 'renewal type insurance' because $100 insurance can be increased to $1,500 especially when you are ill or lose your job. Lee says "the difficulty of this job is that we also have to sell products to those who does not need it at all, for example, elderly people, because we have to make profits to survive." This is the reason that Lee is focusing on training rather than sales to foster effective yet morally right minded financial planners. 

A true financial planner who creates a financial trend
Meritz Fire is pursuing to be a young enterprise and building professionalism and elitism. The board member and the CEO is consisted of MFC and the company currently is in reshuffle by welcoming voluntary retirement from those who worked for more than 5 years. Lee has been in the company for 3 years and 6 months and he is well recognized for his wit to predict the future. He believes that the changes of the financial market and life styles should be reflected in financial planning. Lee says "the sales of fixed interest products was stopped last year. But people are still better advised to have fixed interest products as it can give you the fixed rate even if the interest rate goes down." The definition of insurance is that you can make use of the money when you are in financial difficulty. This means that the less you earn the more you need to have an insurance. Lee says "this is the value of actual expense insurance product. For insurance companies the product does not bring much profits but for clients it is one of the best insurance products. If you don't have both cancer and actual expense insurance, you had better have the latter one first because the guarantee rate is scheduled to fall to 80% from 90% from April 2015." Lee's innovative financial planning includes 'profitable insurance by using their spare fund' and 'understanding of different types between fire, damage, death and life insurance. Power Korea hopes that Lee's talent and hard work will contribute to developments of the financial industry in Korea.
