후불제 시스템으로 여행의 새로운 패러다임 제시! 

“목돈이 필요 없이 분납으로 50% 후불 결제 신혼여행상품을 만나다”

선선한 바람이 불어오는 10월, 본격적인 결혼 시즌을 맞아 예식을 준비하고 있는 예비 신혼부부들이 많을 것이다. 지금쯤 모두들 여름내 힘들었던 결혼 준비에 대한 스트레스를 아름다운 신혼 여행지에서 모두 날려버리리라 마음을 다 잡고 또 다 잡을 것이다. 하지만 잘못된 여행사를 선택하여 생애 한번뿐인 신혼여행을 망쳐버리는 사례가 빈번하게 일어나고 있어 주의가 필요하다. 이에 ㈜골든투어네트웍 프로포즈여행사(이하 프로포즈여행사)는 허니문비용의 50%를 후불로 결제하는 파격적인 서비스를 제공해 이목을 집중시키고 있다. 이종인, 이선미 공동 대표를 만나 자세한 이야기를 들어봤다.

다양한 여행 상품에 후결제 시스템 도입할 것

프로포즈여행사<www.pro4se.co.kr>는 목돈이 필요 없이 여행경비 50%를 여행 개시일 전까지 매월 분납형태로 결제한 후 여행을 다녀온 뒤 나머지 50%를 최대 6개월 또는 일주일 이내에 일시불(전체금액의 5% 할인)로 나눠서 지불하는 새로운 형식의 여행상품을 출시했다. 기술특허를 출원한 이 상품은 여행 종료 후 일주일 이내에 공정한 평가를 통하여 보증심사를 하며 계약서 및 확정서에 확정되어 있는 내용과 상이한 부분이 발생할 경우 기준에 맞는 보상이 이루어진다. 이에 이선미 대표는 ‘사실 그동안 일부 여행사들은 금액을 모두 결제 받고나면 고객이 여행하는 동안에 겪는 불편에 대해서는 다소 불공정하게 대처해 왔다’며 ‘막상 여행을 하다보면 변수들이 많아 호텔의 등급이 낮아지거나, 특식이었던 식사가 대체되거나, 투어 자체에 변동이 있는 경우가 종종 발생하게 되는데 이에 적극 대처할 방침’이라고 전했다. 

이종인 대표는 지난 24년 동안 여행업에 종사해오면서 고객 입장에서 편리함을 줄 수 있는 새로운 형태의 여행사가 필요함을 절실히 느꼈다. 그때 착안한 것이 후불제 결제방식이었는데, 그것은 기존의 회원제 형태의 단점이 더 많이 노출되었던 후불제와는 성격부터가 달랐다. 쉽게 말해 이 시스템은 자동으로 고객이 가고자하는 날짜를 지정하고 분납을 원하는 개월 수를 선정하면, 카드할부처럼 혹은 공과금처럼 매달 자동으로 비용이 인출되어 처리되는 것이다. 물론 여행상품의 특성상 항공요금과 현지 호텔요금 등의 차이로 인해 변동 요금이 발생될 수 있다. 이종인 대표는 ‘처음 이런 아이디어를 냈을 때 모두가 안 될 것이라 반대했다’며 ‘하지만 이 제도가 확립이 되면 여행 업계의 판도가 크게 바뀔 것’이라는 전망을 내 놓았다. 현재 프로포즈여행사는 허니문 여행에 처음으로 이와 같은 후결제 시스템을 적용하고 있는데, 향후 분납형태로 결제되는 효도 관광과 여성을 대상으로 하는 여우 투어, 패키지여행 등이 차례대로 상품화 될 예정이다. 

무차별적 가격 경쟁보다는 고품격 상품을 지향

프로포즈여행사가 준비하는 과정에서 기준으로 삼았던 곳은 국내 1위의 여행사였다. 그곳의 요금체계 보다는 저렴하고, 일반 허니문 여행사 보다는 조금 높은 금액을 책정하여 상품의 질을 높이는 것으로 승부하고자 한 것이다. 대신 여러 가지 서비스를 상품 속에 포함 시켰다. 이선미 대표는 ‘고객들이 현지에서 돈을 안 쓰게 하는 것이 우리의 목표였다’고 밝히며 ‘민감할 수밖에 없는 쇼핑과 선택 관광의 스케줄에 관한 내용은 자세히 명시한 후 고객의 판단에 맡기고 있으며, 고품격 상품에서는 아예 쇼핑 스케줄을 누락시켜버리기도 했다. 

현재 이종인, 이선미 공동 대표는 다양한 시뮬레이션을 통해 효도 관광을 비롯해 여우 투어, 패키지여행 등에 후결제 시스템이 어떻게 구현될 수 있는지 실험 중에 있다. 그들은 다음 달까지 벤처 등록과 특허 등록이 마무리되면 해외 시장을 개척할 계획을 구체화하며, 먼저 중국에 특허를 등록하여 이와 동일한 시스템을 정착시키겠다는 당찬 포부를 밝혔다. 이종인 대표는 ‘모든 것은 고객들의 눈높이에서 보면 답을 구할 수 있다’며 ‘앞으로 더 혁신적인 시도들로 고객들의 아름다운 여행을 책임져 나가겠다고’ 덧붙였다. 

지금까지 목돈 없이도 여행 상품을 구매할 수 있는 곳, 분납으로 부담 없이 돈을 나뉘어 낼 수 있는 곳, 보증심사를 통해 여행 후 상이한 부분을 보상해주는 여행사는 없었다. 그래서 프로포즈여행사는 여행상품의 내용적인 측면에서나 금액적인 측면에서나 높은 경쟁력을 확보하고 있다고 평가된다. 하루 빨리 프로포즈여행사의 이런 획기적인 시스템이 국내외에 정착되어 더 많은 사람들이 여행이 주는 참멋을 마음껏 누리게 되기를 기대해보겠다.

A new paradigm for a tour based on deferred-payment system

Entering the wedding season of October with fresh breezes, there must be many newlyweds-to-be preparing for the ceremony. Maybe by now they are promising themselves to fling off all the stress throughout the summer in planning the wedding at a beautiful honeymoon resort. However, care should be taken because cases occur frequently in which they spoil the once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon by choosing a wrong travel agency. Golden Tour Network Pro4se (Hereunder, the Pro4se) is drawing attention by providing an exceptional service of squaring accounts for 50% of the honeymoon costs in deferred payments. We met the co-presidents, Lee Jong-in and Lee Sun-mi, to be informed in more detail. 

Will introduce deferred payment system to diverse tour products.

A new form of tour product was launched by the Pro4se (www.pro4se.co.kr) in which you can pay 50% of the travel costs by monthly installments prior to the day of starting tour, and after returning from trip, pay the remaining 50% in up to 6-month-installments or in a lump sum (5% discount from the total amount) within a week. This system needs no round sum. For this product in technology patent pending, within a week after the end of trip they conduct a guarantee screening through a fair evaluation to make amendments suited to the standards if something different from the content specified in the contract and confirmation should occur. President Lee Sun-mi explained, “In fact there have been some travel agencies which treat customers rather unjustly about inconvenience suffered by them during the tour once they get settled with all the amounts. While touring, you are often up against many variables, such as a lowered grade of hotel, a substitute for special dish or fluctuation in tour itself. We are going to cope positively with this problem.” 

In his engagement in tour industry for 24 years, President Lee Jong-in felt a pressing need for a new form of travel agency that gives convenience to customers. He hit upon a deferred-payment system different in nature from the existing ones that posed more demerits from the membership form. Put easily, in this system, fixing the date for the customer’s departure and choosing the number of months for installment induces monthly withdrawal of costs automatically, like credit card installments or utilities, for transaction. Of course, characteristic of tour product, fluctuating fares can occur due to the difference in airfare, local hotel price, etc. President Lee Jong-in offered his prospects, “At first when I came up with this idea, all was opposed to it as impracticable. However, if this system is established, it will change the territory of tour industry on a large scale.” Currently, the Pro4se is applying this deferred payment system for a honeymoon only, which will include filial piety tour, fox tour for women and package tour in settlement on an installment plan one after another in the future. 

Aims at high-class product rather than indiscriminate price competition

In its preparation, the Pro4se used the 1st-place travel agency in the nation as criteria. By setting the amounts lower than its rate system and a little higher than ordinary ones, he tried conclusion by enhancing the product quality. Instead, he included many services in the products. Declaring “Our goal was for customers not to use money on the spot,’ he said that the company specified the sensitive schedule content of shopping and elective sightseeing in detail leaving it to the customers’ decision even omitting the shopping schedule from a high-class tour.

Currently, co-presidents Lee Jong-in and Lee-sun-mi are experimenting how the deferred-payment system would be implemented on filial duty tour, fox tour and package tour through diverse simulations. They declared their ambition about concretizing a plan to cultivate a foreign market after finishing with venture and patent register by next month, and by registering the patent with China first they would establish the same system. President Lee Jong-in added, “We can always find the answer by bringing things to customer’s level. Up ahead, we will enter into more innovate attempts to take the responsibility for the customer’s beautiful tour.”

So far, no other travel bureau has enabled you to purchase a tour product without a round sum, pay in installments and receive compensations for parts of disparity after tour through guarantee screening. That is why we may well say that the Pro4se has secured high competitiveness in terms of substance or amounts of tour product. It is highly hoped that such an epoch-making system by the Pro4se will be established at home and abroad to allow more people to enjoy the delight of tour fully.
