황 강사의 강의 방식은 연령대마다 다르다. 크게 3가지 유형으로 진행하며 대학생의 경우 취업진로, 직장인은 CS, 여성 분야의 경우 경력개발과 커뮤니케이션에 집중한다. 강연 중 1,000여 건은 취업진로에 대한 것인데, 황 강사 개인적으로 깊은 인상을 받았다는 강연은 어머니 또래의 청자들이다. 같은 여성으로서의 자각이나, 경청과 리액션으로 큰 힘을 얻는다고 한다. 그리고 진로 강의는 주제마다 다르지만, 진로설계, 면접 이미지메이킹이 중요하며, 그저 앉아서 듣는 강의보다는 참여를 중시한 실습으로 같이 호흡하고 변화를 피드백해준다. 그러한 참여방식은 그룹 발표에서 옆 친구와의 대화까지 다양하여 흥미를 유발한다. 그래서 취업진로 컨설턴트이면서 자녀교육 강연 등 개인적인 의뢰를 자주 받는다. 황 강사는 어린 학생들의 경우 무료 컨설팅을 해주거나, 식사를 함께 하며 진로상담을 해주는 등 배려를 아끼지 않고 있다. 황 강사의 홈페이지를 처음 방문한 사람들은 요리와 미용 정보로 아기자기하게 꾸며진 점에 놀라고, 이내 ‘컨설턴트는 맛있는 요리를 만들듯 다른 이의 인생에 맛과 향기를 더하는 직업’이라는 황 강사의 표현에 공감하게 된다. 그렇게 하루 24시간을 알차게 살아가는 황 강사는 사람을 많이 접하는 직업상 자신의 얼굴을 일종의 광고판이라고 생각한다. 그래서 강연 중에 피부 관리 비결을 묻는 분들에게 도움을 줄 수 있음에 보람을 느낀다. 그런 기쁨이 우러나 예뻐졌다는 이야기를 많이 듣고, 일에도 긍정적인 결과로 이어졌다. 스스로가 확고한 목표와 동기 부여로 행복을 얻었기에, 황 강사는 부모님께서 정해 주신 안정된 직장과 여성의 삶 대신 프로 강사로 성공적인 삶을 살아감에 긍지를 갖고 있다. “나의 버킷리스트에는 100가지 이상의 바람이 적혀 있다. 지금 생각해 보면 나는 내가 생각한 대로 살아가고 있어서 행복하다. 2008년부터는 스케줄을 하나하나 기록하여 모아두고 있다. 나의 좌우명은 ‘생각하는 대로 살지 않으면, 살아가는 대로 생각하게 된다’ 이다. 여러 사람들 앞에서 하루 8시간씩 강의하다 보면 온 몸이 땀으로 젖는데, 지치기는커녕 사람으로 인해 오히려 에너지가 들어오는 느낌이다” 황 강사는 진취적인 삶에 또 다른 목표를 정해 전진하고 있다. “2007년 브라이언 트레이시의 내한 강연에서 통역을 거치니 객석의 리액션이 늦는 것을 보고 언젠가는 영어로 강의하는 강사가 되겠다고 생각했다” 새로운 롤 모델이 되기 위해 매일 6가지의 목표를 정하는 황 강사의 열정적인 삶에 영향을 받는 여성 리더들이 점차 늘어나, 21세기 여성들이 각자의 잠재력을 자유롭게 발휘하며 목표와 꿈을 이루는 삶을 찾는 것. 그 날을 위해 오늘도 황 강사는 1분 1초를 소중히 하며, 많은 이들의 목표를 이루기 위해 달리고 있다.

Pioneer of motivation for change and a sense of purpose

Life is like a sailing. Everybody embarks in a boat of goal and sails by an oar of will to open the treasure chest first. People can accidentally find the chest but are drifting on relative deprivation as the case is rare. But here, Hye-jin Hwang, who holds a compass of motivation, is teaching people to find their way with the frontier spirit.
The passion of motivation is the driving force for action
The meaning of many success guide books is that the authors themselves are successful. But the reason treasure map exists is that someone has reached there already. But on reflection, why should one embark on a long journey to have empty treasure chest? Therefore, it is important to know about oneself and to set up a clear goal. Hwang learned the fact that the main agent of success can be found from oneself when she was a university student. She ensured internal stability through self-study and excellent lectures and achieved 1,400 lectures within 7 years. She is a very popular lecturer now. Hwang explains about finding a chance for one's aptitude by saying "in school days, my friends said that they found motivation when they met me. And I realized that I have a talent to arouse something for others and thought teaching might suit me perfectly. Then I started to research and had a chance to listen to the lectures of Brian Tracy who is famous for giving a motivation. I originally majored in English literature to my parents' wishes but I realized that giving a motivation is what I'm really good at."
Where there is a goal, there is a means. Impressed by reading the female businesswoman Marry Kay's book, Hwang started working for Marry Kay. The place was open for everybody and the staff can give lectures by traveling around the world. Commuting was not necessary and there was no pressure for sales but many opportunities to give lectures instead. Hwang became a professional lecturer when she was 24 and her passion came from interest in giving others a motivation. She figures out whether the audience attended at her lecture by their own will or by force, and what they want to listen before a lecture starts. In order to minimized the boredom, Whang uses storytelling method and attracts the audience by improvisation and sensibility. Her reading more than 300 books in university days gave her depth in introspection and techniques. She puts her own stories in the knowledge to tap the audience's hearts. Hwang said "I often receive emails, kataotalk and text from the audience saying that I gave them desire for living." This is because of her role as a mentor and she opens her life for communication. Hwang thinks that human relations are as important as self development. She asks her audience how things are whenever she visits them around nationwide. One student who listened her lecture for 15 weeks became a friend of Hwang and is working for Marry Kay as her partner.
Becoming a role model through communication in initiative spirit
Hwang's lectures vary according to ages; career path for university students, CS for workers, career development and communication for female. More than 1,000 lectures were about career path and Hwang had a great impression from the audience in her mother's age. She was impressed by their awakening, attention and reaction. Career designing and interview image making are important in career lecturing. She emphasizes the participation of the audience from group presentation to discussion with the person next and this arouse interest. Hwang gives free consulting for children while having a food together. People get surprised at the information on cooking and beauty when they first visit Hwang's webpage, and soon agreed with Hwang's philosophy that consultants are like cooks who add taste and flavor to other people. Due to the nature of her profession which she meets a lot of people, Hwang thinks her face a kind of billboard. So she also gives advice on the secrets of skin care and this provides synergy effect. Because Hwang achieved her own happiness with a clear goal and motivation, she is proud of being a professional lecturer. Hwang said "there are 100 wishes in my bucket list. I'm happy as I'm living the way I want. I have been keeping my schedule since 2008. My motto is 'if you don't live according to your thought, you live according to your living'. I give lectures 8 hours a day and my body is wet in sweat but instead of tiredness I feel like I'm receiving energies." Hwang has another goal. "I interpreted Brain Tracy's speech in Korea in 2007 and noticed that the audience reaction was not immediate. I decided to be a lecturer who gives it in English ever since." Hwang makes 6 goals everyday in order to be a new role model for women in the hope that the society has more female leaders and they achieve their goals and dreams by bringing out their potential. And for this, Hwang is doing her best.
