SJ선진레이저 박동민 대표는 현대기아차, 삼성 등 국내를 대표하는 기업들의 납품업체와 파트너십 관계를 맺고 기업들의 레이저마킹·조각을 담당하며 최고의 기술력을 선보이고 있다.  지난 2010년 처음으로 화성공장을 가동하며 경기남부지역의 레이저 가공산업을 위해 정진하던 박 대표는 얼마 전인 2013년 남양주 공장의 문을 열어 불모지라 여겨지던 경기북부지역의 활성화를 위한 준비를 하고 있다. “레이저 마킹과 조각은 기업들은 물론 이제 일반인들도 관심을 갖고 있는 분야입니다. 그만큼 주목받고 있는 분야죠. 그렇기 때문에 타 지역에 비해 관심 받지 못했던 경기북부지역의 활성화를 위해 남양주 공장의 문을 연 것입니다.” 이렇게 시장을 움직이고 있는 SJ선진레이저에서 주력하고 있는 사업은 현재 레이저 마킹, 레이저 각인, 레이저 조각이며 세부적인 작업으로는 모든 산업제품의 금형 레이저 조각부터 시작해 명판 레이저 제작, 인덱스 레이저 마킹 등 모든 분야를 다루고 있고 플라스틱, 금속, 세라믹, 나무 등 다양한 재료를 이용해 고객들의 니즈를 부합시키고 있다. 어찌 보면 짧은 경력이지만 기업들이 믿고 맡길 수 있었던 것은 박 대표의 예술적 감각과 꼼꼼함이 부각되었기 때문이 아닐까싶다.

CEO Park is working in partnership with subcontractors of major corporations such as Hyundai, Kia and Samsung, and taking charge of their laser-marking and carving with topnotch techniques. He started to run his factory in Hwasung in 2010, boosting the industry around southern part of Gyeonggi province. In 2013 he opened another factory in Namyangju in order to revitalize the northern part of Gyeonggi province. "Laser-marking and carving drew attention not only from enterprises but also from ordinary people. It is a noteworthy field. That is why I opened a factory in Namyangju which then was relatively less attractive area for people to boost the industry." The core business of SJ Laser includes laser-marking, laser-engraving, laser carving and they also deal with molding laser-marking, nameplate laser and index laser marking. In order to coincide with customers needs, they use various materials such as plastic, metal, ceramic and wood. Although Park has not worked in this field very long, his artistic talent and details would have made him believable to his clients. Recently, laser-marking and carving have become enormously popular among companies and ordinary people. Demands for marking uniquely on their personal belongs such as couple-rings, lighter, laptop computer are increasing and this is even spreading to the camping industry with which might be a trend.

As Pocheon is his hometown, Park has various roles to implement: the president of Idong-myon Council Meeting of Pocheon Conservation of Nature Association, the president of Biathlron Mutual Aid Society in Geyonggi province, a member of Steering Committee of Pocheon Ildong Hight School, a member of Steering Committee of Pocheon Dopyong Elementary School, a member of Scholorship Sponsor Meeting for Pocheon Dopyong Elementary School, a civic journalist of Pocheon Newspaper, executive director of Seoul Gwangjin Boy Football Club, executive director of Seoul Gwangjin-gu Professional Futsal Team, a vice president of Seoul Gwanjin-gu Futsal Federation. He also supports a bus for football teams and contributes to developing sports. He highly values affinity for people and works with passion for what he is doing.
