현대차, 여름 휴가 지원 프로모션 진행
“여름 휴가 계획 아직 못 잡으셨나요? 그럼 현대차로 오세요!”
현대자동차(주)는 7~8월 본격적인 여름 휴가철을 앞두고 고객들에게 보다 즐거운 추억을 선사하고자 고객의 여름 휴가를 지원하는 ‘에이치 썸머 베케이션(H Summer Vacation)’ 이벤트를 진행한다고 밝혔다. 이번 이벤트는 현대차 고객만을 위한 휴가지를 제공하는 ‘가족 힐링 이벤트’와 5박6일간 휴가 차량을 무상으로 대여해 주는 ‘쏘나타, 그랜저 5박6일 렌탈 이벤트’ 2가지 프로그램으로 운영된다. 7월 25일부터 8월 16일까지 23일간 총 1,100가족(1가족 4인 기준)을 초대하는 ‘가족 힐링 이벤트’는 빼어난 자연 경관을 자랑하는 강원도 횡성 자연 휴양림에서 진행되며, 현대차는 고객들만을 위해 캠핑장·펜션·어린이 야외 수영장 등을 무료로 이용할 수 있도록 제공할 예정이다. 특히 현대차는 캠핑(장비 미보유 660가족, 장비 보유 220가족)과 펜션(220가족) 중 숙박 형태를 구분해 선택적으로 응모할 수 있도록 해 가족별 맞춤형 혜택을 제공하며, 캠핑 장비를 보유하지 않은 가족들에게는 텐트·테이블·버너·랜턴 등 각종 캠핑 장비들을 무상으로 대여해 준다. 이 외에도 ▲가족용 놀이기구 대여 ▲야외 카페 운영 ▲숲 속 작은 음악회 ▲숲 체험 등 다양한 프로그램을 운영해 참가 고객들의 만족도를 더욱 높일 계획이다. 한편 현대차는 홈페이지를 통해 ‘쏘나타, 그랜저 5박6일 렌탈’ 이벤트에 응모한 고객 등 총 800명을 선정해 쏘나타와 그랜저를 휴가 차량으로 무상 대여해주는 이벤트도 진행한다. 휴가 차량 무상 렌탈 이벤트는 장거리 이동이 많은 여름휴가 기간 동안 고객들에게 이동 편의를 지원하는 동시에 현대차의 주력 차종인 쏘나타와 그랜저의 우수한 상품성을 체험할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 마련됐다. 현대차 관계자는 “현대차 고객만을 위한 특별한 휴가지원 프로그램을 통해서 고객들에게 보다 즐겁고 의미있는 휴가를 선사할 것”이라며 “앞으로도 고객분들의 꾸준한 성원을 잊지 않고 더욱 더 감동을 줄 수 있는 서비스를 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
현대·기아차, 세계 최초 모바일 진단 장비 ‘GDS-모바일’ 개발
현대·기아차가 세계 최초로 태블릿 PC 등을 이용하여 차량 상태를 진단할 수 있는 모바일 기반 차량 진단 장비 ‘GDS-모바일(Mobile)’을 개발했다고 밝혔다. GDS-모바일은 현대·기아차에서 2006년부터 사용해온 기존의 차량 진단장비인 GDS(Global Diagnostic System)에 최첨단 IT 기술이 접목된 차량 진단장비로 국내에는 2014년 9월부터 현대·기아차 서비스 거점에 도입 될 예정이다. 기존의 GDS는 대형 크기를 갖춘 유선형 진단 시스템으로 물리적인 이동에 제약이 있어 별도의 작업공간에서만 사용할 수 있다는 제한이 있던 반면, GDS-모바일은 일반 태블릿 PC와 VCI Ⅱ(Vehicle Communication Interface)라는 차량 장착용 소형 통신 모듈 간의 무선 통신(블루투스와 와이파이)을 이용한 시스템으로 진단 편의성이 크게 향상되었다. GDS-모바일을 이용하여 고객 서비스 진행 시 ▲무선통신을 활용한 고장진단 절차 단순화 및 고속화 ▲실시간 차량 정보 업데이트를 통한 정확한 진단으로 정비효율 향상 ▲초고속 통신을 이용한 ECU 업그레이드 ▲서비스 공간의 무제약 등 다양한 장점이 있어 현대·기아차의 차량 서비스 경쟁력이 대폭 강화될 전망이다. 또한 현대·기아차는 GDS-모바일의 공급을 기존 GDS보다 확대하여 고객들이 더 많은 서비스 거점에서 고품질의 서비스를 제공 받을 수 있게 할 예정이다. 현대·기아차 관계자는 “GDS-모바일을 통해 보다 빠르고 정확한 정비 서비스를 지원할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”며, “향후에도 지속적인 하이테크 기술개발과 첨단 IT 기술 접목을 통해 고객 중심의 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하겠다”고 말했다.

Hyundai Motor announced the company’s event of ‘H Summer Vacation’ for support of the customers’ summer vacation in order to present a more enjoyable memory for upcoming July and August. This event consists of two programs ? ‘Family healing event’ to provide a vacation spot for Hyundai Motor customers and ‘Sonata, Grandeur 5-night and 6-day rental event’ to lease vacation vehicle for free. ‘Family healing event’ in invitation of a total 1,100 families (based on 4 persons per family) for 23 days from July 25 through August 16 will carry on at natural recreation forest of Hoengsung, Gangwon-do, which boasts of excellent natural landscape, while the company is going to provide the camping site, pension, children’s outdoor swimming pool, etc, for customers’ exclusive use free of charge. Especially, Hyundai Motor allows selective application between camping (550 families not possessed of equipment, 220 families possessed) and pension (220 families) to provide customized benefits by family, leasing every camping equipment, including tent, table, burner, lantern, etc, to families without it for free. Hyudai Motor person said, “Through this special vacation aid program exclusively for Hyundai Motor customers, we want to present them with more enjoyable and meaningful vacation. Hyundai-Kia Group develops GDS Mobile, the world’s first mobile diagnostic equipment.
Hyundai-Kia Group announced that it has developed ‘GDS Mobile,’ mobile-based vehicle diagnostic equipment that can diagnose the condition of vehicle using tablet PC, etc., for the first time in the world. GDS Mobile is the vehicle diagnosis equipment in combination of advanced IT and GDS (Global Diagnostic System), the existing one used since 2006 at the group. Domestically, this is going to be introduced to the bases of Hyundai-Kia Motor Service from September 2014. While the existing large-sized GDS, a streamline diagnostic system, was only available for particular work space because of the limitation in physical move, GDS Mobile is the system using radio communications (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi) between ordinary tablet PC and small communication modules for vehicle called VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface) II, with greatly enhanced convenience. Besides, Hyundai-Kia Group is planning to enlarge the supply of GDS Mobile above and beyond the existing GDS enabling the customers to receive high-quality service from more bases of service. The company person said, “We will do our best to support quicker and more accurate maintenance service through GDS Mobile. We will provide customer-oriented service through continued development of technology combined with advanced IT.”
