Leading the pump industry with advanced IoT technology and 3D design/analysis technology

Developing the world’s first IoT technology combined pump

Green Tec is focusing on making efficient and convenient pumps by applying advanced IoT technology and 3D design and analysis technology. The company continues technological innovation, such as building a smart factory in the Daegu National Industrial Complex water cluster.

Green Tec focuses on pump manufacturing business. The company provides large-capacity volute pumps and single-suction single-stage volutes/process/double-suction volutes/underwater sand pumps for power generation facilities. In particular, the world’s first IoT ‘double suction pump equipped with an endoscope camera’ is a direct-connected pump with an industrial endoscope camera and various sensors inside the product. It improves the ability and quality of life of managers by monitoring and controlling the status of industrial pumps in real time using mobile and long-distance wired and wireless communication methods. It also has the advantage of improving efficiency through continuous operation by enabling planned maintenance as it is equipped with a failure prediction function. Through this, deteriorating parts can be replaced preventively before unexpected failures occur, and productivity can be maximized by increasing the ability and precision of the machine.

Green Tec is also engaged in pump and motor diagnosis, pump repair, water pressurization (booster) system design and facility, special pump scan and manufacturing, water supply, pump system design and review, system noise and vibration analysis and solution, pump and piping installation work, energy diagnosis.

Investing 4-5% of sales in R&D

Developing a pump that prevents damage from typhoons and torrential rains

CEO Lee Jeong-gon believes that technology development is the only way for small and medium-sized businesses to grow, and is working hard to possess more innovative technologies. As part of such efforts, employees are allowed to apply for at least two paid training sessions each year so that they can deepen their knowledge and practice. Above all, he spares no effort in investing in technology development, spending 4-5% of sales annually on R&D.

Through this passion for technology development, Green Tec recently developed a ‘vertical mixed flow pump with an internal groove wear ring applied to the casing to reduce flow loss’. This pump is a product with a casing wear ring fastened to the inner circumferential surface of the casing to prevent flow loss due to the pressure difference in the gap between the casing and the impeller. It is a vertical mixed-flow pump that can improve the efficiency and economic efficiency of the pump by ensuring smooth drainage in case of forced drainage of rainwater due to typhoons and localized heavy rains.

The strength of this pump is that it can solve the problem caused by the pressure difference in the gap between the casing and the impeller. When rainwater is forcibly drained due to typhoons and localized heavy rains, smooth drainage is often not achieved, but this pump can effectively respond to such disasters. Green Tec said, “It is expected that property damage and loss of life due to disasters can be reduced through this.”

Preparing for a new leap through the National Water Industry Cluster

Striving for the development of the domestic water industry

Green Tec recently built a smart factory in the national water industry cluster and produces and provides high-efficiency pumps suitable for carbon neutrality and low-carbon green growth. These pumps are mainly supplied to waste-sewage treatment facilities and plants, and through their excellent technology, they are highly trusted not only in Korea but also abroad.

Through these achievements, Green Tec was designated as a promising export company in Gyeongbuk in 2018 and a promising company for entering the overseas procurement market in 2020, while also being selected as the company of the month in Gumi City in 2021.

Recognized for his contributions, CEO Lee was awarded the Daegu/Gyeongbuk Regional Small and Medium Business Administration Award in 2015, the Small and Medium Business Federation (K-BIZ) President’s Award in 2016, the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award in 2018, the Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor’s Award in 2018, the Procurement Service Commissioner’s Award in 2019, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security Technology Innovation Enterprise Industrial Award in 2019. Currently, CEO Lee is making efforts to develop the domestic water industry, serving as the chairman of the National Water Industry Cluster Resident Corporation Council. Lee said “As a Pride and Star Venture company, we will do our best to improve the quality of our products and services to a global standard.”
