(PowerKorea) After almost a year and a half of the outbreak of COVID-19, many countries are still struggling to contain the virus. Israel announced that they have reached 81% herd immunity March this year while majority of countries are experiencing lack of vaccines. The situation in India specially is very worrying as the number of the infected lingers around 300,000 a day for over 10 days. Worse still, variants are being reported one after another which put even Israel on strict guard.

The WHO director general Tedros Adhanom recently said in a briefing that vaccines were one way to fight against the virus but they were not the only way, adding that, the tunnel was still far way to go. Experts say that COVID-19 will live forever with us like influenza and we should not loosen the grip on quarantine. In other words, the daily practice of wearing a mask, sanitizing hands frequently and avoiding crowded places might last longer than we had thought.

MK Partner is a South Korean infection and medical equipment company with more strength in medical gloves, bed covers and cold boxes. Since the establishment on May last year, the company has supplied clean master medical gloves, disposable bed covers and cold-chain vaccine delivery cool boxes.

“Our flagship clean master medical gloves are more like latex and nitrile gloves than the normal polyester gloves which are slippery. Clean master medical gloves are inexpensive, efficient, high performing and have excellent tensile and elastic force. Also, the moisture in the gloves rather helps the hand to grip things tighter. The gloves are made into three sizes: small, medium and large. Small gloves are pink, medium blue and large green for fast and easy recognition” says MK Partner CEO Kang Sun-mi.

The gloves are receiving enthusiastic welcome from medical staff in South Korea for excellent quality. It is notable that South Korea has depended more than 90% of medical gloves on import. The gloves are FDA approved and CEO Kang has shipped samples to many countries to widen the market and is making a deal with a Mexican supplier at the moment.

Unlike the cheap Chinese bed covers, again widely used in South Korea, MK Partner’s clean master disposable bed covers also receive excellent reviews from firefighters and hospital staff for high quality and performance as well as cost-effectiveness. The covers are made with the anti-virus approved EN-14126 fabric. They are statics-free, water-proof and have excellent ventilation power. The specially coasted rear sheet prevents body fluid or blood from being absorbed inside the bed while the good ventilated front sheet absorbs the liquid to hold.

As for the cool boxes, vaccines are normally delivered in cold-chain. Cold-chain is a logistics management process for products that require the refrigerated temperatures. Pfizer, for example, must be kept at -70 degrees Celsius while moderna and AstraZenca must keep the temperature of 2~5 degrees Celsius.

MK Partner’s cold-chain vaccine delivery cood boxes are designed for short distance delivery, for example, from a health center to a vaccine hospital during which the temperature must be keept between -2 to 5 degrees Celsius. The boxes are made with aluminum materials that blocks off the sunlight while maximizes coolness. They are water-proof and and the deliverer can check the temperature in real time on the LED thermometer attached: the thermometer alarms when the temperature changes.

“MK Partner values highly of ethical management. Making profit is important but the reason we make profit at the end of the day is to pay it back to society. MK Partner is ready to establish a foundation in near future to do corporate social responsibility in a more systematic way” says Kang.
