President Moon organized a televised meeting with the people on November 19 at the MBC Media Center, Sangam-dong, Seoul. Chulsoo Bae hosted the meeting and the audience who were willing tossed questions and Moon tossed back with answers.

Moon asked the parents of Minsik, a child who died on the road in a school zone by a speedy car to make a question first; and the mother asked back Moon to do his best to promptly pass the Minsik Act at the National Assembly so that the same tragedy never happens again.

Moon received a variety of questions from politics, housing, minimum wage, 52 hour work week and the recent GSOMIA issue. Having answered every single question, he said that though the audience asked many questions he took them as opinions to be reflected in the state affairs.

Moon added that he had served half of his terms and it was for the people to tell whether I did good or bad. The session lasted 10 minutes more than scheduled and 16,134 questions that could not make on the day were handed over to Moon on paper for reference.

2019 ASEAN-ROK CEO SUMMIT

Moon gave opening remark at the 2019 ASEAN-ROC CEO SUMMIT. Around 500 businessmen from 225 countries alongside political leaders attended on the day.

Moon emphasized that the ASEAN-ROK saw a trade volume of $160 billion with more than $10 billion investment; adding that the ASEAN was the second largest trade partner of South Korea and the third largest for investment while South Korea is the fifth largest trade partner of the ASEAN.

Moon pointed out that South Korea was but an ideal partner for the ASEAN where average age is 29 and together we could run faster and further, deepen our friendship and share responsibility.
