“Revolutionizing the 3D printing market with silicon 3D printer”

3D printers are used in many fields such as medicine, construction, airplane, cars and even food nowadays. Enterbot is a Korean venture specialized in industrial 3D printer, IOT and overseas distribution. CEO Choi and a senior researcher Kim Tae-jin of the Korea Conformity Laboratories developed a silicon 3D printer in May 2017. The printer uses the nozzle of the liquid silicon to laminate by pressing at high temperature. It is the first case in Korea and Choi applied for a patent for ‘Discharge Adjustable Dispenser’ last March. Silicon is soft and not easy to use for 3D printing but the Choi and Park made it possible. Choi said “We spent 2 years to develop the silicon 3D printer based on the screw-type method. It is received as a high tech that only a few advanced countries like Germany and the USA released related test products.” It is remarkable that a Korean venture has made it possible with its own technique and it can play a motivation and stimulant for many Korean ventures. The applicable areas of the silicon 3D printer are vast from medicine and industrial to education. For this, Choi is focusing on upgrading the parts and functions on a regular basis as well as production of test products and technical cooperation with companies home and abroad. In fact, Enterbot developed an educational 3D printer in 2014 and a syringe-type chocolate 3D printer in 2015 and Choi found some export channels to South East Asia and China and has been working to build trading networks with local buyers since 2016. He also has been training students at Dong-eui University, Pukyong National University, Kyungsung University and Dong-a University.
