“Pay attention to commercial detached house”
“Real estate investment makes you free from financial worries” asserts CEO Park Gyeong-rye of the Real Estate Investment Research Center for People In Their 30s. However, there are rules you need to follow to make a successful investment. Back in the late 80s when Park jumped into the market, real estate investment was exclusive property of the rich. Yet she revolted against the prejudice. “You should put your money in real estate as long as your pocket allows” emphasized Park. It means that you can start with small sums of money as there are niche markets if you look carefully and Park recommends you to pay attention to commercial detached house: the first floor for a store, the second for residence. This can secure regular income from rent according to Park. “Most people think that they must have a lot of money to buy a detached house but it can solve both income and residence at the same time.” To help you make it happen, Park opened the Real Estate Investment Research Center for People In Their 30s with a will to better prepare your retirement. The center in a way was the result of Park’s 20 years of experience in the field. 

Walking a single path as a real estate specialist for 20 years
Park went through many trials and errors to become as successful as today. Back then, the real estate market in Korea was booming. “I was brave enough because I didn’t know much about the market. I matched my clients with good properties in no time alongside my own investment to prove my ability of sales but looking back I could have earned more profits if I were a little bit more patient.” Interestingly, Park went to New Zealand to study English and lived there for 2 years. Back home in Korea, she thought about her life again and decided to do what she is good at but this time obtained a certificate of real estate agent. She found her English competency was not good enough and her husband’s business suffered from failure during this time and it also affected her decision. And she was right as she made a considerable sum of money. She then wanted to share her knowhow and experience with more people and started to write a book.

Many of her clients asked her to write a book about real estate investment and Park met CEO Kim Tae-gwang (book writing instructor) of Dream Disneyland. So she started to write a book that will contain her years of knowledge in the field with focus on suggesting secretes to small investors to make a success in the real estate market; the result was <Real Estate Is The Answer For The Next Five Years> released July this year and is creating a sensation. In her first lecture on the book, many of her royal clients willingly attended the lecture and some of them held an interview. The second edition of the book is already running out fast at the moment and her online club in Naver is seeing an increasing number of members recently. Also, Park is recommended as the chairwoman of a real estate association and her lecture schedule is getting busier than ever.
“It is difficult to see next 10 years in the real estate market. Regulations and tax systems are constantly changing as the regime changes every five years while new towns are being developed in the capital areas. Even a new expressway can affect the market. This is the reason that investors need to focus on now than the future in a way to secure steady profits.” She added “The 8.2 real estate policy is holding investors’ breath at the moment yet there are regions rising into investor’s attention. The price of properties can only rise whether small or large at the end of the day. This means that you need to find niche market that has a great potential of price rise.” 

Running a five week course for real estate investment 
Making the dream of ‘1 person 1 building’

Alongside publishing the book, Park has run a five week course for real estate investment which is in its second phase. The course gives analysis on new real estate policy direction and regulations as well as market trend, information and ideal location through which Park is willing to fulfill her goal to make the dream of ‘1 person 1 building’. Recently, Park added ‘crowd funding’ in her lectures as it is leading the trend in the market at the moment. One must throw away the prejudice that only the rich can do real estate investment. 
“Positive mind is important to make a success in real estate investment. Many people in their 30s don’t know about the market and how to make money. The five week course not only makes you build the basic investment idea but help you with how to earn money with small capital by expanding your knowledge to crowd funding in a way to fulfill your dream of having your own building so that you can better prepare your retirement.” Meanwhile, Park is working hard on her second book with deeper knowledge and insight.
