그동안 피부과와 에스테틱에서는 서로 다른 파장 색으로 된 LED 광조사 기기를 사용했다. 20-50cm정도로 피부에 멀리 놓으면 중첩이 되던 이 기기들은 기존의 형태인 도트형이었다. 또한 작은 기기는 얼굴 곡선에 따라 부위별로 작동시켜야 하고, 한 번 사용으로도 효과를 기대할 수 있는 큰 기기를 접하려면 전문 에스테틱샵에 방문해야 했다. 그래서 특수한 설계로 만들어져 균일한 스킨케어가 가능한 리타임(RETIME)을 만들어낸 레드젠의 기술력이 화제가 되고 있다. 황대석 대표가 소개하는 리타임(RETIME)은 점발광이 아닌 면발광으로, 도트로 빛이 나오는 기존 LED기기와 달리 각 파장당 최대 600여 개나 되는 LED 광이 균일하게 나오는 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

데스크탑, 핸드헬드형으로 출시된 리타임(RETIME)은 얼굴 모양대로 디자인된 특수코팅 광투과윈도우를 이용해 얼굴을 기기에 맞추기만 하면 선택된 광조사를 받을 수 있다. 더욱이 눈부심 없이 두 눈의 시야가 확보되어 사용하는 동안 독서, 휴대전화를 쓸 수 있어 편리하다. “빠른 시간 안에 동일한 광량 세기를 유지해서 얼굴 전체에 LED를 고르게 침투시키도록 한 것이 우리 기술의 핵심이다. 피부 침투에는 공간적으로 균일한 광량에너지와 광세기가 중요하다. 제품 사용으로 안티에이징 효과를 기대할 수 있고 피부탄력을 유지하는 콜라겐을 분해하는 MMP효소를 억제시킨다. 광조사 후에 피부의 세포가 재생이 되면 잔주름이 개선되는 효과도 있다.

이탈리아 볼로냐 미용전시회 등 여러 박람회에 참가해 피부가 얇은 미국과 유럽인들 사이에서 이 효과를 보여주었더니 폭발적인 관심을 보였다” 한때 피부관리업계에서 각광받은 레이저는 열처리에 기반하고 있어 통증과 부작용의 위험이 있다. 하지만 LED는 세포에 4가지 광자 형태 그대로 흡수되어 마치 식물의 광합성처럼 작용하여, 통증이나 손상을 걱정하지 않아도 된다. 여기에 고객들의 사용감을 위해 눈부심을 막아주는 장치에 인체공학적인 디자인을 가미하니, 기술력과 함께 사용이 편리한 제품으로 탄생했다. 현재 3가지 라인업 및 화이트, 와인, 블랙 컬러로 출시된 리타임(RETIME)은 앞으로 사용자의 편의에 맞춘 총 4-5개의 라인업을 갖추어 소비자들을 기대하게 만든다.

간편한 사용법과 국내외 바이어/고객들이 인정한 기술력으로 세계를 향해
국내외 10여 개의 특허를 보유한 리타임(RETIME)은 전원을 켜고 케어모드를 선택해 10분간 사용한다. 그리고 세계 최초로 4가지 컬러의 광을 하나의 기기에 담은 모드로 구동되는 원리다. 리타임(RETIME)은 하루 1회 정도 꾸준히 사용하면 피부세포를 치유하고 피부의 기초가 되는 콜라겐과 엘라스틴의 형성을 촉진한다. 30-40대 여성 사용자들은 평균 2-3주 만에 만족감을 보였으며, 두세번의 사용으로도 피부결이 달라지고 화장이 잘 먹는 효과를 입증했다. 여드름으로 고민인 피부에도 상당한 효과가 있다. LED는 정상 상태로 10만 시간을 사용할 수 있기에 반영구적으로 사용이 가능하다. 황 대표는 앞선 한국 광 기술을 바탕으로 앞으로도 기술력을 보강하여 세계 시장에서 사랑받겠다는 각오가 대단하다. “가정에서 기기교체 없이 4가지 LED광을 조사하는 혁신을 이루었지만, 여기에 안주하지 않고 색의 배합에 따른 효과를 만들어 냈다. 콜라겐과 엘라스틴의 재생에 도움을 주는 붉은색과, 재생과 주름개선을 돕는 노란색을 조합하면 안티에이징 효과가 배가된다. 그리고 붉은색에 박테리아를 없애주고 트러블을 개선하는 파란색을 조합하면 여드름과 흉터 개선, 평상시 피부의 항균효과를 보인다.

그 외에도 기미를 만들 수 있는 피부색소침착을 완화시켜 미인의 흰 피부를 만들어 준다는 초록색을 단독 사용, 혹은 조합하여 피부를 근본적으로 개선할 수 있다” 황 대표는 피부에 힘을 주는 시너지 효과를 낼 LED전용 토너와 크림을 함께 개발했다. 이 제품들을 바르고 기기를 사용하면 피부톤 개선, 주름, 기미완화, 잡티제거, 블랙앤화이트헤드 등 여드름으로 진행하는 피부염증 개선에 영양공급이 더해져, 시간을 거스르는 피부미용 효과를 체험할 수 있다.

Dermatologists and skin care centers normally use LED radiation equipments made of different color of wavelength. These equipments are dot type which are overlapped when placed 20cm to 50cm from the skin. Small ones need to be applied according to face lines but you need to visit skin care centers to use large ones which you can expect immediate effect. Recently, Ledgen developed RETIME which can treat our skin uniformly and is the talk of the town. RETIME is not working based on luminous dots but luminous surface which produces 600 LED lights per wavelength equally. It was released in two types: desktop and hand-held. Its specially coated optic penetration window is designed according to face line and if you fix your face to it you can be treated with equal radiation. It can also enable you to open your eyes so that you can read a book or use mobile phone while being treated. Hwang says "our core technology is to maintain equal amount of lights to be absorbed into the whole face. To do this, equal quantity of light and its intensity are very important.

It is effective in anti-aging and deters MMP enzyme which decompose collagen the element that maintains elasticity of skin. It is also effective in improving small wrinkles as it regenerates skin cells. This equipment received an explosive response from western people who has relatively thin skin when we participated in the beauty exhibition in Bologna, Italy." Meanwhile, the existing laser method is based on heat treatment which can cause pain and side effect. But LED is absorbed into the skin like photosynthesis in the form of 4 types of photon which does not cause pain or damages. RETIME is provided in three colors: white, wine and black and Hwang is planning to introduce 4 to 5 new line ups. 

Proven technology with easy operation attract buyers around the world
RETIME obtained 10 domestic and overseas patents. It is normally used for 10 minutes with 4 colors of light after it is turned on. You can heal skin cells and boost collagen and elastin if you use it once a day on a regular basis. 30s to 40s women showed satisfaction after 2 to 3 weeks and their skin was improved and became good for make-up after using it 2 or 3 times. It is also effective for removing pimples. LED is semi-permanent as you can use it for 10,000 hours. Hwang is determined to enter global market by strengthening their technology based on Korea's optical technology. Hwang says "we created 4 colors of LED light as well as creating color scheme effect. Red is good for regenerating collagen and elastin and yellow for improving wrinkles, and anti-aging effect gets doubled when the two colors are combined. Blue removes bacteria and improves skin trouble, and it improves pimples and scars and good for anti-bacteria effect when combined with red. Green eases pigmentation and makes the skin white and it can be used alone or combined to fundamentally improve skin conditions." Hwang also developed toner and cream for the LED.

If you put these on your skin before you use the LED, you can experience over all improvement of your skin as they also provide nutritions. Hwang says "we are expecting more than US$200M sales after 3 years. We are planning to distribute the equipment through skin care centers but will expand the market to personal use at home. Our goal is to make our brand global within 5 years in the photo-dermatology and health care industry." Hwang also said that they participated in Health & Beauty Week in Korea and received good response and their products are recognised in China, Japan and Europe.
