박근혜 대통령, 부산창조경제혁신센터 출범식 참석
지난 달 16일 부산에서는 부산 창조경제혁신센터 출범식이 열렸다. 출범식에는 서병수 부산시장, 신동빈 롯데그룹 회장, 최양희 미래부 장관, 윤상직 산업부 장관, 김희정 여성부 장관, 임종룡 금융위원장, 김동호 문화융성위원장, 부산 지역 국회의원 및 경제인 등 150여명이 참석하여 자리를 빛냈다. 박근혜 대통령도 부산 창조경제혁신센터 출범식에 참석하여 출범을 축하했다.

“저는 이제 센텀의 한복판에 문을 연 창조경제혁신센터가 ‘융합을 통한 창조의 힘’을 이끌어내서 더욱 역동적이고 활기차게 부산과 대한민국의 대도약을 이끌어 갈 것으로 확신합니다.”

박근혜 대통령은 부산 창조경제혁신센터 출범을 진심으로 축하한다고 인사말을 전하며, 부산 창조경제혁신센터가 문을 여는 ‘센텀’이 부산의 혁신을 상징하는 곳이라고 말했다. 이어 그 힘은 ‘융합’으로 대표되는 부산의 DNA에서 비롯되었다고 생각한다면서, 역사적으로 사람과 물자가 한 데 모여 이질적인 가치와 문화가 섞이고 융합하고 끊임없이 혁신해 온 부산의 노력에 대해 의미부여를 했다.

박 대통령은 센텀의 한복판에 문을 연 부산 창조경제혁신센터가 ‘융합을 통한 창조의 힘’을 이끌어내서 더욱 역동적이고 활기차게 부산과 대한민국의 대도약을 이끌어 갈 것이라고 확신한다며 기대감을 드러냈다. 이를 위해 부산 창조경제혁신센터가 앞으로 서비스 산업 특화 최적의 혁신센터이자 영화와 영상 창작산업, 부산의 아이디어 발전소, 그리고 사물인터넷 기반의 스타트업 육성 3가지 측면에서 중요한 역할을 담당하게 될 것이라고 설명했다.

부산 창조경제, 유통·영화·IoT(사물인터넷)의 실크로드를 열다
박근혜 대통령은 부산지역 사물인터넷 연구개발과 고급인재 양성의 거점인 ‘부산대 IoT(사물인터넷) 연구센터’로 향했다. 부산대 IoT 연구센터는 2014년 6월에 개원한 석·박사급 고급인재 양성사업, 대학 ICT 연구센터 중 하나다. 연구센터는 산학연 연계 R&D 프로젝트를 수행하면서, 부산 창조경제 혁신센터의 R&D 성과물에 기반을 둔 ‘벤처 창업·투자 유치 등 사업화 지원 기능’과 연계되어, 부산지역 IoT 창업 생태계 조성의 양대 중심축으로 기능할 것으로 전망된다.

부산대 IoT 연구센터를 방문한 박근혜 대통령은 먼저 산학연 협력으로 수행한 ‘주요 연구 성과물 시연’을 관람하고, ‘IoT 연구센터 학생과의 대화’를 통해 현장의 목소리를 청취했다. “우리의 기업가 정신을 키우기 위한 프로그램에 더욱 많은 경험을 갖고, 검증이 된 프로그램을 벤치마킹해서 우리나라 프로그램도 업그레이드 하고 더 많은 젊은이들이 새로운 경험을 할 수 있는 기회가 많이 주어졌으면 좋겠다.”

연구 성과물 시찰을 마친 박근혜 대통령은 ‘IoT 연구센터 학생과의 대화’를 위해 간담회장으로 이동했다. 간담회장에서 박 대통령을 기다리고 있던 부산대 교수와 학생들은 뜨거운 박수로 박 대통령의 방문을 환영했다.

박 대통령은 ‘기업가 정신’에 대한 역사가 오래된 국가에 더 좋은 프로그램이 있을 것 같다며, “우리의 기업가 정신을 키우기 위한 프로그램에 더욱 많은 경험을 갖고, 검증이 된 프로그램을 벤치마킹해서 우리나라 프로그램도 업그레이드 하고 더 많은 젊은이들이 새로운 경험을 할 수 있는 기회가 많이 주어졌으면 좋겠다.”고 말했다.

The Inauguration Ceremony of Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center was held in Busan on 16 last month participated by 150 people including the Mayor Byungsoo Suh, the CEO of Lotte Dongbin Shin, the Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning Yanghee Choi, the Minister of Trade, Industry & Energy Sangjik Yoon, the Minister of Gender Equality & Family Heejung Kang, the Chairman of Financial Services Commission Jongyong Yim, the Chairman of Presidential Committee for Cultural Enrichment Dongho Kim and the lawmaker and entrepreneurs from Busan. Park said in her congratulatory speech "I am sure that Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center in the center of Centum, which symbolizes the innovation of Busan, will dynamically create 'power of creation through convergence' to lead grand jete of Busan and Korea." Park congratulated the inauguration of the center and said that the city's most notable characteristics 'convergence' has made a variety of cultures in Busan. Park added that the center will play three significant roles as the film & video industry, idea power plant, and IoT-based start-up promotion. 

Opening a silk road in distribution, film and IoT
Park visited Busan National University's IoT Research Center that is a foothold of IoT related R&D and fostering talented people. The center is one of university ICT research centers and it was opened in June 2014 to foster graduate and PhD level specialists. The center is expected to carry out industry-academic R&D projects and building regional IoT start-up environments by linking themselves to venture business and investment. Park watched the demonstration of the center's research results and listened to the students at a meeting with the students of the center. Park said "I hope that our young people will be provided more opportunities to make innovative programs through benchmarking those approved programs that can promote entrepreneurial spirit so that the students can contribute to developments of domestic programs." Park added "countries with long history might have programs relating to entrepreneurial spirit and we need to learn and bring the programs to upgrade our programs also."
