Paju Facilities Management Corporation is a local public enterprise founded June 1 in 1999 in order to provide proper accommodation and convenience, to improve public welfare by effectively managing public facilities that are designates by Mayor of Paju. The corporation is making an effort to promote culture & art, sports activities by managing public facilities, culture & sports facilities. It also is trying to improve Citizens' Happiness, the Quality of Healthy life beginning from the creation of public services, and to preserve green environment by managing basic environmental facilities.

Paju Facilities Management Corporation founded in 1999, a local public enterprise, is a low understanding and preferences one. And citizens in Paju often don't know whether the Corporation is or not in this area. But corporation recognition has meliorated and has been rising on the bases of steady efforts for citizens. According to the customer satisfaction research, the level of satisfaction is rising, and it is proven that the positive image of the corporation began to take root among the citizens. With the change in perception and rapid growth of Paju city we had through constant efforts, we corporation set a management policy as follows: performance-oriented culture & Ethical Management, cost reduction & Quality Management, customer-centered philosophy & Emotional Management, sharing labor-management culture. 

The corporation is trying to do its best to turn over a new leaf to be a as a representative corporation of Korea that can bring happiness to citizens. The main business of The Paju Facilities Management Corporation is this: managing facilities and public treatment facilities, agent business for cleaning,  selling standard plastic garbage bags, managing public sports facilities, managing facilities that Paju city put in trust, and other various businesses. The employees of the corporation volunteer activities for neglected class of people on order to improve their life environment. A Hands-on Style of Management, Actual Place Centered management 

"Since Paju Facilities Management Corporation was founded in order to produce public services, we intend to run around on our own two feet to serve citizens, with a strong sense of service to society. 

Lee Gi-young took office as chief the 5th chief director January 1st, 2011, when we had a hard time with FMD (foot-and-mouth disease) and a cold wave. He showed A Hands-on Style of Management in order to make happy Paju. He went into public office in 1979, and

he has consecutively filled various government posts: a local vice-deputy director 1998, promoted to administrative deputy director in 2004, Director of Dorasan Peace Park management Office, a committee staff  in Executive office of National Assembly, section chief of Transport Development, Information and Communication Computer Center. He voluntarily retired January November in 2010, and went into office as chief the 5th chief director January 1st, 2011. He received a Nok jo Geun jeong medal that is awarded to a public servant who had excellent contribution in his duty.

The main point of the Hands-on Style of Management which the chief director Lee says is that "Since problems and answers are in the actual places, we find out the problems coming up in the actual places, and institutionally improve and correct them." We are running that kind of business in order to find out in actual places what citizens think of as inconvenient, what they consider as unsatisfactory and correct them, to make all the facilities managed always on top line, and to make high quality services provided to citizens. So, we appoint the person in charge the classified business places and facility, and strictly run safety management through preventive maintenance, and we keep managing them at best maintenance state in order citizens to use convenient and clean facilities and buildings. It is the key points that chief director Lee is pursuing.


Push Ahead with Responsibility Management and Public Spirit for citizens' Happiness Increase

The chief director Lee Gi-young, in his inaugural speech, emphasized the following need: each employee's professionalism or professional mentality based on intense interest, performance or outcome by confidence and passion, attitude not to lose his or her first resolution, harmony to produce the goal of citizen's happiness with being one in body and soul. He says that based on this, we produce "the beautiful attractive Paju City" with the Hands-on Style of Management, and these things as form of happiness will soon go to Paju citizens. He said, "we will practice clean and transparent management, we will push forward the low cost and high efficiency business not to be waste cause, since the business is managed with citizen's budget."he expressed his volition to carry out Responsibility Management for the increase of citizens' happiness, with the emphasis on publicity. And he says that he pursues the profits of business with the bases of publicity, but the most important thing is that inventing happy Paju. He says that, through high quality public service, we Paju Facilities Management Corporation try to be trusted or reliable citizens public corporation.

Paju Facilities Management Corporation practices clean and transparent Ethical Management management to be a reliable corporation, Responsibility Management through the attainment of its goal, conversation and communication between labor and management, safe and comfortable maintenance of facilities, and through expanding volunteer services to a community, the corporation moving a step closer to citizens in order to turn over a new leaf as a reliable and prestigious corporation.
