Hyundai Motor Group pitches up at ACT Expo 2024

Hyundai Motor Group introduced the current status of North American logistics transportation business at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo 2024 media conference held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from May 20 to May 23, and announced hydrogen commercialization focusing on clean logistics transportation business. Hyundai also unveiled a concept model to improve the marketability of the XCIENT Fuel Cell Truck, which will play a key role in this business. At CES 2024, the company declared that it would expand HTWO, the existing hydrogen fuel cell system brand, into a hydrogen value chain business brand, and announced that it would accelerate the transition to a hydrogen society. Through NorCAL ZERO, the company is accelerating its hydrogen commercial mobility business by supplying 30 hydrogen electric trucks to G.E.T Freight, a trucking business under GLOVIS America, last year. This is the largest single supply by a North American transport company, and is significant in that it contributes to the decarbonization of the Ports of Auckland and Richmond by replacing existing trucks with high pollutant emissions. Hyundai plans to build a full-scale hydrogen commercial mobility value chain encompassing hydrogen supply and charging station construction, leasing and financing, and maintenance services.

Hyundai Motor Group’s global open innovation platform ZER01NE participated in the 2024 Viva Technology exhibition held at the Paris Expo de Versailles.

 ZER01NE sponsors creative talents who lead the discourse on future society and mobility and supports promising domestic and international startups and in-house startups. VIVATECH is Europe’s leading startup technology exhibition held in Paris, France every June, and about 2,000 startups participated in the event in 2023. This is ZER01NE’s first participation in the event. ZER01NE set up an exhibition booth with the theme of ‘Seamless Post Human City’ at 2024 VIVATECH, and three startups, Mobin, Biomic, and Xedricks, who had carried out business and technological cooperation, and IVAAIU City, a creator team exploring the future urban environment, were inside the booth. ZER01NE used Boston Dynamics’ four-legged walking robot POT to measure air pollution and purification data in Paris and displayed a work visualizing it. ZER01NE operated a sports tech zone where visitors could directly experience modern technology during the 2024 Paris Olympic season, and also introduced high-precision shooting machines, player-customized grips, and archery technology with automatic score recorders.
