Senior Attorney Jiwon Jung has over 20 years of experience. She completed the doctoral program at Seoul National University College of Law and has worked as a human rights lawyer and a public defender in various committees and organizations including the Seoul Regional Bar Association, Korean Bar Association, National Human Rights Commission, and Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office.

“I let my client know beforehand if the case is likely to lose so that we do not expect a groundless hope. Surprisingly, many of my clients have valued highly of my honesty and realistic alternatives. And they took the cases to me and I did my best to bring the best result possible. Mutual trust is very important in this.” says Jung. 

She, in fact, won many legal cases including the recent rape and industrial accident cases. 

“Whenever I win a case, it makes me feel proud. When I take a case as a public defender, the client is just thankful for me to be next to him or her and it makes me feel good. It is especially the case when my client fights against injustice or violence that makes me feel really rewarding.” says Jung.

“A legal dispute is the fight of the two persons standing at the edge of the cliff where they cannot back off a step. It involves a lot of stress, time and money. But this intensity makes me a strong, tolerant and skilled attorney.” says Jung.
