Yoon attends Parent's Day ceremony

President Yoon attended the Parent's Day ceremony held at Jangchung Gymnasium on May 3. He said that the sacrifice and hard work of our parents had built Koreas as an economic and cultural powerhouse in 70 years. He said that the sacrifice continued even today but we might had forgotten it because we were busy with our lives. He said that the government would increase jobs and pays and raise the basic pension to 400,000 won before his term ended. He said that the government would reduce nursing expenses and build a comprehensive health care. He then hung carnations on the chest of three elderly people. Around 1,300 people attended the event on the day.

Yoon invites children to the Blue House

One the occasion of Children's Day, Yoon invited children across the country to the Blue House on May 5. He shook hands with children randomly and shared a smile. A number of booths were pitched up for children to take part in making food, trimming pets and preventing fire and traffic accidents. When he met 10 siblings from Uiryeong County, he shook hands with all of them one by one and gave his signature on a hat. He and children then watched a bubble magic show together. In his speech he said "I also waited for Children's Day whole year when I was a child. So today is your's day and I wish you health and I will support your dreams." Around 360 children were invited on the day.
