¡ã JS English / CEO Jinsun Lee

JS English stood alongside the winners of the 2024 Korea Education Industrial Awards with winning English Language School. JS English has shown excellence in curriculum, test results and administration. Director Jinsun Lee boasts more than 10 years of experience in the field proving her capability especially in speaking and exams such as IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL. The level by level curriculum equips students with confidence to speak English while pros and cons of each student are updated on a regular basis to bring up solutions alongside helpful tips. The sentence build-up, in particular, is received positive from both students and parents as it helps students easily understand the structures of English sentences. It comes with reading and then writing so that they could naturally learn to use English in all 4 areas: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Also notable is that the curriculum of JS English helps students switch their knowledge learned in Korean to English without themselves knowing.

“We encourage students to be familiar with English grammar and vocabulary before getting them into essay writing. In fact, drawing out thoughts in their heads into words is not an easy task. That’s why they need to learn the structures of English sentences first. And this can be achieved by continuos reading and writing. I’m proud to say that the half of our long term students earned the 1st grade at the CSAT in 2023. It is truly a great achievement.” says Lee.

Corporate social responsibility

Apart from being an English teacher, Lee is working as a violence prevention coach and a drug addiction prevention instructor.

“It is worrying to see that juvenile crime is increasing recently. Part of the reasons I think is widespread social media without ethical awareness. Ethical awareness is as important as learning knowledge for students and both teachers and parents are responsible for this. As the director of an English school, I’m well aware of fulfilling corporate social responsibility.” says Lee.
