Ministry of Economy and Finance holds 58th Taxpayer's Day ceremony

Held on March 4, the ceremony was attended by around 1,000 guests including high officials. 569 taxpayers received an award including Dongsuh, Hanwha Ocean, Korea Petroleum Group, and Korean Air. From the year after the launch of the National Tax Service on March 3, 1966, it was designated as 'Tax Day', and on March 24, 1973, it was established as a combination of Tax Day and Tariff Day, and then on the grounds that Tax Day could be repulsed by the public by emphasizing tax payment obligations too much, since 2000, it was changed to 'Taxpayer's Day', meaning that taxpayers are the owners, and commemorative events have been held. The event is hosted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, and as a major commemorative event, rewards are given to those who faithfully paid taxes or cooperated with tax administration.
