The importance of English proficiency cannot be overemphasized. English is most commonly used business language in the world spoken by over 1.5 billion people worldwide. In South Korea, the language is one of the top three subjects after Korean and maths to get higher scores in school. In addition to reading, writing, listening and speaking, grammar also plays a decisive role nowadays. Considering these five basic elements, we should not miss praising award winning Promise Edu.

Attention to detail!

Making a strong presence in the field by recently earning a National Assembly Education Committee Chairman’s Prize at the 2024 Korea Education Industrial Awards, Promise Edu has grown the number of branches to 6 since opening the first office in Mok-dong, Seoul, in 2011. The school focuses on students from 3rd grade elementary to 3rd grade middle school helping them equip with confidence in exams. Instead of rote learning, the programs encourage students to build reading, discussion, presentation and essay writing abilities through creative thinking skills. Both on/offline classes also enforce students on reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar, the five core skills, in balance. Especially notable is the school’s tailored programs that are designed based on the level and ability of each student. This is very important because it builds each student’s learning habit, motivation and accuracy in answering the question. Meanwhile, the in-house YS Education Research Institute develops teaching and learning materials and has published more than 50 textbooks. Admission seminars and motivation programs are also organized time to time.

Social contribution!

With these accumulated and valuable educational asset in the field, Promise Edu is expanding its business alongside social contribution. Since opening the business in 2011, the school has made donations to local children’s centers even in the times of the pandemic. The school’s ‘Top of the Promise’ in particular is a donation-based speaking competition and more competitors generate more free meals for children starving. Last year, the school also donated goods to Foodbank. Winning a National Assembly Education Committee Chairman’s Prize at the 2024 Korea Education Industrial Awards, in a way, was a result of this continuous social contribution, not to mention its excellent teaching programs and performances.
