Deciding who’s good and who’s bad is not important. What is important is knowing the fact that what I think and speak affect my body. The Bible says God created the world with words. Buddha said everything is up to mind. In other words, we, the people on earth, should better think positively and speak positively. 

The society is going through a turbulent time. Have we seen political parties saying good words about opposition parties. It seems that people in our society have forgot how to complement. Back in the days, Koreans loved to give complements and good words. Koreans tend to put the word ‘we’ in front of many words implying a strong bond. It is irony, therefore, that we confront each other today. So we must accept the fact that every person is different but we should practice embracing individuals into one society. 

We become strong when we learn from one’s strength but not by looking down one’s strength. Harmony and inclusiveness are the two words we need at the moment. By this, we can have a smile on our face. The Bible values love the most, the Buddhism the benevolence, and the Koreans sharing. We must share what we have with others. Unhappy are those who do not practice sharing. Giving is but happiness. We are parted when we do not share because there is no reason to be ‘we’. We should listen each other young or old. And this is the things we should know in the year 2024.
