As the number of online shopping malls increases, the 3PL (third party logistics service) market, which takes responsibility for the entire process from storage and management of goods to delivery, is growing. In addition, fulfillment service companies that provide orders and CS (exchange, refund, etc.) are also appearing. As logistics services such as early morning delivery, rocket delivery, and same-day delivery are evolving more rapidly, the domestic logistics industry system has become competitive enough to compete in the global market. Among these, Inus Logistics CEO Junghyun Heo, who inherited the network and skill of a long-standing freight forwarding company, is challenging global comprehensive logistics market with ambition and passion.

All in one logistics service from storage and warehousing to shipping

Smooth logistics service with 50 years of skill from Daejoong Tongwoon

The logistics market is increasing not only domestically but also in the internationally, and the quality of services is required to meet the demands.

Founded in September 2021, Inus Logistics is a company that has kept pace with this expanding logistics market, providing customers with fast, accurate, and customized logistics services.

The company performs all tasks of logistics from storage and warehousing to delivery, systematic management and operation of products, and fast and accurate delivery, gaining high satisfaction and trust from customers and shippers.

The company has an affiliated company, Daejoong Tongwoon, which has over 50 years of transportation experience. CEO Heo said, “Daejoong Tongwoon has been run by my family, and its freight forwarding skill has been passed on to Inus Logistics.”

Inus Logistics can handle transportation directly, so there are no unnecessary fees unlike other companies that subcontract. Low cost, 50 years of skill, regional dispatchers, management personnel, and specialized personnel for each part of the process ensure accurate, systematic, and smooth cargo transportation.

3PL logistics service

Becoming a comprehensive logistics service provider

Inus Logistics reduces the burden on its customers by providing 3PL logistics services and delivery vehicles, especially since it directly transports cargo compared to other 3PL logistics companies that use vendors.

Heo said “We’re directly managing more than thirty percent we own numerous numbers of fleets, and we offer dedicated service for things like grocery franchises.” The company has a vast network of more than 2,300 freight forwarder contacts accumulated for more than 50 years.

The company also contracts with service companies for warehouse operations and picking, and has a 13,223-square-meter Yongin Center, which serves the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungcheong Province, a 6,611-square-meter Deokpyeong Center, a Hanam Center for clothing, and a Gonjiam Center for low-temperature and convenience store deliveries. Based on this systematic and professional management, the company is building a dedicated logistics infrastructure for each customer, which allows for fast, accurate and safe transportation with fixed vehicles. Through this, Inus Logistics is evolving from a simple 3PL logistics service provider to a comprehensive provider.

Preparing for global forwarding services

Growing into a global No. 1 logistics company

Inus Logistics is growing into a comprehensive logistics company that goes beyond 3PL to provide global forwarding services. Global forwarding is about facilitating the smooth flow of business between exporters and importers.

Currently, the company provides forwarding services for shipments from large U.S. relief organizations to the Philippines and Congo. Heo said “When sending goods to Congo DRC, we were sometimes asked if we had a solution. Congo DRC is a dangerous region with a civil war, but in the end we sent goods to Uganda and sent goods to Congo DRC through a local logistics company.”

Building on this success story, the company aims to start offering global forwarding services, including shipping and ocean transportation, in earnest next year. To this end, the company is preparing to establish a U.S. corporation in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is moving forward with plans to operate its own 49,586 square meter logistics center there.

Inus Logistics is developing its business with a big dream of becoming a global No. 1 logistics company. Heo said “With the development of internet shopping in Korea, there are aspects of logistics services that are very advanced compared to other countries, such as warehouse operations and cargo transportation systems. With these advanced service offerings, we plan to find a place to showcase them internationally and have a system that works well with other large logistics companies as well as local logistics companies, so that we can grow our business and develop together.”
