Doowon Gongjo System won the Maekyung Media Group Chairman’s Prize at the 20th Korea New Growth Management Awards on 14th December. The awards, organized by MBN and Maeil Business Newspaper and hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, were established to foster the next generation of global companies that lead core industries with new growth source technologies and global competitiveness through creative technology and management. It was also an excellent opportunity for Kijang Jeong, CEO of Doowon Gongjo System, who developed technology to recycle wasted energy.

 

The implementation of a hydraulic generator that can actually operate in the space between rail sleepers has been well received!

The company’s patented technology is said to have received favorable reviews from the judging panel for its technological prowess and economic feasibility in that it implements a hydraulic generator that can actually operate in the space between the sleepers of a subway or train rail, eliminating the need to reinstall the rails and sleepers. In other words, it was highly evaluated for its excellence in that it produces high-output power generation using the load of the electric train. In the United States and Japan, some power generation devices installed under automobile roads or stairs, or installed inside rail sleepers, have been disclosed as patents, but the existing technology was at the level of a simple idea, so for actual implementation, the entire rail and sleeper must be rebuilt. There was a downside to having to install it. In contrast, Doowon Gongjo System’s patented technology implements a hydraulic generator that can actually operate in the space between rail sleepers, and can be additionally installed on existing rails and sleepers without having to completely reinstall the rails and sleepers. It can be seen that the possibility of realistic application is very good.

 

Eco-friendly energy technology trusted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy

Doowon Gongjo System’s eco-friendly energy technology was trusted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. CEO Kijang Jeong developed ‘Eco-friendly safety rail and its manufacturing method’ in 2012 and ‘Hair dryer operation noise removal’ technology in 2015, and received attention in 2016 by acquiring a patent for ‘Train Weight Energy Genrating System’. 

 

Good news for related technologies in Korea

The system is a technology that has been difficult to find before. It is good news for domestic related technology that it is possible to provide a full-fledged power production system using electric vehicle loads, including a power generation device that produces power by converting pressure energy into rotational movement by the hydraulic motor acceleration gear of the fluid pressure drive device. In order to generate power using the load of an electric vehicle, a device that collects load pressure from under the rail is required, and this device must always maintain a uniform height under the rail. Previously, there was no means to recognize or solve these realistic problems, but Doowon Gongjo System’s patented technology makes it possible to solve these problems. (If the load pressure collection device is located on an uneven surface such as gravel, there was a problem that the load pressure collection device could not be fixed and moved due to the load generated when stopping and leaving the train. However, the company’s patented technology can collect load pressure. By fixing the device between sleepers, it has the effect of producing uniform power at all times through stable hydraulic pressure.) CEO Jeong said “With a power production system using the load of electric trains, we can produce stable power by recycling wasted energy. I will actively pursue investment attraction and technological cooperation.” This patented technology can be summarized as storing the load of an electric train as pressure energy through fluid pressure and using this to drive a fluid motor to continuously produce power. This system can not only be implemented in the space between sleepers under existing rails, but can also be additionally installed between existing rails and sleepers, showing high applicability in terms of practicality and feasibility. Another noteworthy aspect is that stable power production is possible by regularly and steadily receiving the load from the movement of the electric train. Currently, the load of electric trains is very large and generates regular energy, but this energy is not utilized at all and is dissipated beneath the ground. However, this system can be said to have infinite value in ‘creating new and renewable energy’ in that it can produce new, stable power by recycling wasted energy.
