SYPLANTEC is different from companies that copy competitors’ equipment or simply manufacture plant equipment according to given drawings. When a company receives a request to manufacture equipment, it first carefully understands the customer’s industry characteristics, purpose of building the equipment, production items, and quality conditions. Afterwards, the company designs plants according to customer needs and field conditions and provides an all-in-one engineering solution that covers manufacturing, installation, commissioning, diagnosis, maintenance, repair work. The company manufactured and installed a 500-ton-per-day lightweight aggregate rotary kiln for South East Power Company and a rotary kiln for POSCO’s Gwangyang plant, manufactured and delivered a PCC Slurry Plant Agitator to Hansol Paper, and manufactured and installed a POSCO coke oven Co2 blowing demonstration facility. In addition, the company built an eco-friendly calcium carbonate demonstration facility for Hyundai Oilbank, remodeled a metal CFRP rebar pultrusion molding machine at the Korea Institute of Ceramic Engineering and Technology, built a kiln and drying facility related to batteries of a large company, and manufactured and delivered coating plant equipment to a Vietnamese company. The company is leading technological innovation in the domestic plant engineering field by completing numerous projects through collaboration with large companies, including contributing to carbon neutrality through CO2 reduction exhaust gas facilities built at POSCO, Hyundai Oilbank, and Hansol Paper.

 

Expanding into the fields of ESG management, technological advancement, and eco-friendly resource renewal

As a result, SYPLANTEC, which has acquired a wealth of experience and a large amount of technical data in various industries, is advancing its technology in existing business fields and expanding into the fields of research and development of new business that will lead the future and eco-friendly resource recycling. In order to internalize ESG management, a global trend, the company has recently been working on developing new technologies for plants where the environment and people coexist. The company has developed SCR pilot facilities with the Korea Institute of Limestone & Advanced Materials and is developing technologies to reduce CO2 emissions from steel mills and power plants, and CO2 reaction hardening cement manufacturing technologies in cooperation with various research institutes, including the KITECH. SYPLANTEC plans to focus on resource recycling and resource circulation business, also known as urban mining. This is a resource recycling business that separates and reuses rare metals needed for industry from discarded batteries, mobile phones, and electronic products, and is the basis for realizing a circular economy, an eco-friendly economic model that conserves natural resources, reduces energy consumption, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. CEO Kwangjin Shin says “Another goal of ours is to develop an advanced resource recovery system and bring it to the design field.” Meanwhile, the company is carrying out national research projects related to CO2 reduction facilities and national research projects on the development of CO2 reduction cement manufacturing and secondary product production technologies. As a result of these efforts, SYPLANTEC has been awarded patents for a two-stage vertical centrifugal classifier, a sludge supply system for flue gas desulfurization plants, a silo with load cells, a feed pipe with an externally protected insulation structure, a rotary kiln alignment management method, and an AI-based environmental facility and industrial plant management service system for ESG management. The company has been certified as a management innovation type (Main Biz), technology innovation type (Inno Biz) small business, and venture business by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, as well as ISO9001 (Quality Management System) and 14001 (Environmental Management System).
