Turning Shinpyeong-Janglim industrial complex into a knowledge industry techno valley

Saha District Mayor Gapjoon Lee has announced his plan of turning Shinpyeong-Janglim industrial complex into a knowledge industry techno valley. The area has been finalized for its eligibility of a smart green industrial complex by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The district is to pour 316.1 billion won in 23 businesses as a result. The district and the experts involved said that the businesses would be finalized early next year.

“The valley will come with various convenient facilities such as parks, parkinglots, residence, event areas, etc. It will create jobs, offer support for inhouse companies, and will boost restional economy and livelihood.” said district mayor Lee.

Excellent educational enviroment

“The valley, the knowledge business center and the remodeling of Dadaepo will back up the new airpor and we also need to creat excellent educational environment. Bad educational environment has encouraged residents to move to other regions. For this, we recently has secured a designation of an international education zone alongside turning foreign language high schools to private high schools. The Office of Education also endeavors to provide necessary support to even the balance of quality education between the east and the west of the city” explained Lee. 

As part of this efforts, the distric is running an all inclusive customized program. This bottom-up type is encouraging students to proactively take part in clubbing, in-depth learning, psychological counseling, field activities, etc. The international education zone, on the other hand, will introduce IB international curriculum, exchange and language learning. 

Transforming Saha-gu into an economic and maritime city in the western region of Busan

Saha District is facing a new era of regional economy thanks to comming Gadeokdo Airport. Mayor Lee and his team are making themselves busy to take this opportunity favorable to them in terms of economy and maritime affairs as well as education. The team is to make the most of its knowledge industry centers as a promising growth engine of the region and is pushing forward gentrification of the worn out facilities and areas.

“We expect that the value of our distric and around will rise when ths airport is in full operation. Promising companies will knock our door to open up a business here and we will especially lure young entreprenuers to start off their innovation ideas here. Meaningwhile, we are workning on deregulations that are discouraging entrepreneurial spirit of businessmen.”
