Joseph Pilates helped injured soldiers at the camp during First World War which eventually led him to invent pilates as practiced today. The movements of pilates were intented for rehabiliation so instructors must have knowledge about our body and technics to apply the movements effectively.

Apart from the rooftop pilates, On Top provides private sessions for up to date, quality practice. CEO Heonhee Kim graduated from Korea University with sports medicine BA in 2017. The department deals with anatomy, physiology, pathology and many more that are related to sports medicine.
“To simply put, the study is about healing our body” says Kim.
For this reason, all instructors at On Top must have had proven qualifications and pass the on site demonstration and knowledge.
“This is very important as lacking knowledge and technical could lead to a damage of the body” emphasizes Kim.
It is only natural, therefore, that many of the members of On Top are celebrities or head of business.
“I happened to take a pilates course while I was traveling Amercia. I was inspired by their vigorious movements while Korea tends to be calm. So I wanted to deliver the advanced experience to the members of On Top also.”
