Kim Wan-seop, Second Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance, conducted a kimchi-making event for people in need at a welfare center in Gangseo-gu, Seoul on October 31. This event was designed to deliver kimchi to low-income and underprivileged people and to practice the spirit of donation and sharing of the lottery fund. About 120 people attended the event, and about 1,500 heads of kimchi (3,000 kg of pickled cabbage) were delivered directly to low-income and underprivileged households. Kim said, “The meaning of kimchi is ‘sharing.’ We hope that the kimchi we carefully made will be of some help to low-income and underprivileged residents to get through the winter.”
