Fun English with no desks

Evision runs programs for kids to learn English through play without a desk. The programs have been praised for motivating children, developing creativity, and boosting self-confidence. More than 100 international teachers with various majors teach children physical education, ballet, dance, musical theater, art, and many more in English. Director Kunheong Kang is an ambitious young man who strives to bring creative programs that allow children to think and learn on their own terms, moving away from cookie-cutter education. “I allow children to learn English through play, instead of being taught at a desk in a classroom. Instead of forcing them to learn, I teach them at their own pace and level, respecting their space and being patient with them, so that they can learn on their own terms.” said Kang.

Differentiated public education programs

Evision has the ability to customize and deliver differentiated programs to different institutions. These include Saint Paul International School, POLY Language School, Rise Language School, and Galleria, Shinsegae, and Hyundai department stores, totaling over 100 businesses. In the coming year, Evision will expand its differentiated programs to public schools, nurture centers, and parenting centers. For teachers, Evision is also setting up a program that will lead to a Global English Physical Education Leadership Certificate through the Continuing Education Institute of Seokeong University. Evision runs English camps at the premium kids’ cafe Plays Lounge in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, during school vacations, where children can learn English through coding, art, science experiments, environment, physical education, ballet, fencing, and fresh flowers and cake making. “In order for children to be happy and fulfilled, teachers need to be able to teach them at their own pace and level. In order to do that, they need to be able to focus on nothing but teaching only, and I provide that environment.” said Kang.

Unlocking the potential of underprivileged children

Evision also plans to establish an alternative school for low-income children to nurture their abilities and potential. Recognized for its excellence in teaching, and also the will to help children in need, Evision received the Grand Prize at the 2023 Korea Future Management Awards in the category of English Education.
