It then provides OCR document classification, OCR processing that can convert from image to text, detect text location and generate text data from document footage or scans, and visioning processing that extracts and processes necessary data from image files contained in text. This is a distributed web server version that can automatically classify documents even with a small number of documents and provides a recognition rate of more than 95% by continuous relearning, and can also be processed in parallel for recognition of large documents.

Gen OCR 4.0 converts simple images into text, processes the steps of reading and typing by hand instead of the human eye in conjunction with RPA, and helps RPA to input into the system. This relieves the burden on the person in charge of the business and greatly helps to improve work activities, such as covering human errors through a high recognition rate.

From image recognition to artificial intelligence-based processing

Gen OCR 4.0 has five main characteristics: AI technology, accuracy, speed, convenience, and experience. It is built by adopting the latest LSTM (RCNN) deep learning technology, and AI technology is applied with a data set of Hangul printed and cursive provided by the Korea AI Hub, and is equipped with an AI deep learning engine that has learned 36 million Korean characters. This is a Korean data set learning, and it has an accuracy that boasts a print recognition rate of 98% and cursive 80%. It also provides an annotation function for further engine training.

It also parallelizes 10 documents at the same time in a multi-CPU and GPU environment, boasts a speed of up to 6,000 pages per hour, and includes training based on a small number of representative documents, automatic labeling of similar document fields, automatic classification processing, and pre-processing functions for document distortion, and instant re-learning of error data. In particular, Gen OCR 4.0 provides a convenient document learning environment for users and enables cross-validation by using multiple OCR engines, greatly reducing the amount of work required for users to verify. By exchanging documents and results through external systems, RPA, and APIs, smooth business automation can also be handled without problems. This is a feature and strength of Powergen’s unique experience in focusing on manufacturing, finance, healthcare, and services, and internalizing OCR skills accumulated by framing standard documents and industry-specific documents.

Gen OCR 4.0 has a wide range of features. It can read various image files such as JPG, TIFF, BMP, PNG, and various document files such as PDF, Office, and HWP, and can be processed with a high recognition rate even if it is a noisy image because it is transmitted to smartphones and faxes. In addition, even if the image has various angles or is out of standard, it recognizes the document on the spot through rotation and up, down, left and right ratio correction, and flattens it. Even if the image itself has strong noise, such as shadows, doodles, pollution, blurliness, watermarks, and stamps, it recognizes low-quality original images through a 10-step AI algorithm.

It assists office automation with a variety of functions, including two-level intelligent automatic classification through document patterns and key words, Korea’s only multiple OCR cross-verification function, and Korea’s only multiple OCR cross-verification function, including Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, and special characters.
