As K-pop and K-content have recently become very popular in Europe such as France, interests in K-fashion and purchase demand are also increasing. However, there are few brick-and-mortar stores or online shopping malls in Europe that deal with Korean fashion clothing, so it is not easy for locals to buy them.
Fashion Style Map is a cross-border e-commerce platform introduced by SlogK and it helps the locals to easily buy Korean clothes.
SlogK takes the lead in promoting K-fashion
SlogK participated in the ‘2023 KOREA EXPO’ held in Porte de Versailles, Paris, France in May and received great acclaim from many French visitors through ‘K-Fashion Class’.
“The cross-border e-commerce platform ‘Fashion Style Map’ is a direct purchase platform that allows you to purchase Korean goods from overseas. We participated in the expo and had more people come to our booth than we expected, which gave us positive energy.” says SlogK CEO Hojin La.
“The popularity of Samsung and LG appliances and Korean music, movies, dramas, and food in France is astounding. The younger generation is chasing the Korean style. But even if you want to get Korean clothes in France, you can’t. That’s what we wanted to solve.”
SlogK is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, and has established a subsidiary in Paris. Apart from Fashion Style Map, the company is to release an app.
Shopping in France like shopping in Korea
Fashion Style Map connects Korean clothes retailors to consumers in Europe.
The products of the in-house retailors are stored in warehouse in France and delivered locally. This saves time and buyers can feel safe as it is dealt locally.
While France is slow in things, SlogK introduced Korea’s fast services to secure hearts of local consumers.
“Online shopping apps and platforms are still in their infant compared to South Korea. So we focused on this and introduced Fashion Style Map on which Europeans can enjoy Korean-style fast and right delivery services on their smartphone.” explains La.
“Most of the popular brands in France are manufactured in developing countries such as Pakistan and Bangladesh, where there are consumer complaints due to poor product quality. The clothes sold on Fashion Style Map are only ‘MADE IN KOREA’, so they have an edge in terms of quality.”
Fashion Style Map also takes care of promotion and complaints in addition to selling and delivery.
Spreading excellence of Korean products and services in Europe
Fashion Style Map plans to upgrade its brokerage platform later this year and expand its services not only to France, but also to the rest of Europe.
“Our goal is to promote the excellence of Korean products and services. In addition to fashion, we will also sell and broker lifestyle, cosmetics and food products and services in France and Europe.”
SlogK also plans to attract investment and hire locals, app developers, and fashion designers to popularize Fashion Style Map across the EU, with France as its foothold.
