A meaningful exhibition will be held at the Park View Gallery in Los Angeles from April 27 to May 1. Contemporary Korean art works will be presented one after another in Los Angeles, a large city in charge of hubs in the western United States. In particular, it is expected to convey a special message to Korean residents who are faithfully living in unfamiliar environments along with American art lovers.
Korean artists who hold individual exhibitions at LA Park View Gallery in turn are Min Young-ae, Lee Seung-yeon, and Kim Bo-sun.
Lee Seung-yeon has been quietly focusing on literature and painting for a long time. Lee Seung-yeon, who turns 70 next year, also won the New Literature Award in the poetry category for her publication at this year's Korean Literature Exhibition. In addition, the paintings that have been continuously painted have also won numerous contests one after another, so they are highly anticipated ahead of this U.S. exhibition.
Writer Min Young-ae has been working using acrylic paint, thread, etc. Min Young-ae has already presented her work in a series called "Sunflower Embracing the Sun." In particular, for this LA exhibition, the second "Sunflower Embracing the Sun" series will be completed and a work that beautifully compares mother, an element of empathy for everyone, will be presented. Min Young-ae's paintings were highly praised for being very beautiful and expressing the unique characteristics of Korean modern art.
Kim Bo-sun is a teacher of Lee Seung-yeon and Min Young-ae, and is currently active as the president of the Korea International Art Association. Artist Kim Bo-sun has continued various activities as a painter and poet, and has experienced various genres such as literary painting, Western painting, and stone painting. The LA exhibition will showcase a variety of Western painting works that have recently shown the most interest.
