50 store owners and employees gathered to wrap up last year
Seokchan’s challenge continues in 2023
Seokchan is a company that runs Furato Sikdang since 2017. This restaurant specializes in casual Japanese cuisine loved by people for its local taste, recipe standardization, training, and fresh ingredients. On December 22, the company held a year-end event at Gongzone in Shinchon, where about 50 store owners and employees gathered to wrap up the year. The event began with a congratulatory speech by CEO Chae Dong-chan, followed by a congratulatory performance by soprano Helen Kim. After the performance, they had time to review the year and plan for the future. First, the food service division had an opportunity to check the projects that had been carried out over the past year. Then they summarized and reviewed the marketing campaign. Participants talked about how the company will appeal to people in the future and what areas should be improved. Lastly, CEO Chae talked about the direction of the business and challenges they will take in 2023. The company transformed an event that could end with eating and drinking to share culture and to review and reflect on last year and plans and visions for the future.
Passion and effort poured into taste, atmosphere, and research
The atmosphere and feel like the locals
The reason Seokchan has been able to achieve success lies in persistence and passion. Furato, the beginning of the company, has become a restaurant famous for its passion and continuos research on food and is loved by many. Furato tastes trendy foods from all over the world and creates new menus through benchmarking business trips once every quarter. Thanks to this, all menu items including the flagship menu, gyukatsu and half-boiled omurice, are equally loved by dinners.
Brand premium and consistent service
Supervisors visit stores once a month
Furato is doing its best to maintain the brand premium and provides consistent service at all stores. Furato selects franchise partners through interviews to continuously maintain the protection of local business interests and brand quality. In particular, Furato is fully prepared for giving training to partners. One of the signature menu items, soft-boiled omurice, uses more than 5,000 eggs to complete and standardize the recipe. Through this, a training system was established to transfer skills to franchise store owners. Furato’s store owners and executives and employees hold ownership and conduct training to improve sales and stable operation. In addition, supervisors in charge of affiliated stores visit the stores at least once a month and score about 90 items, including music.
