On the 4th, at the headquarters of JS Limousine located in Icheon, Auto Global (CEO Jung Myung-hoon), Ceracomb (CEO Lee Kang-hong), and Hongjin Enterprise (CEO Hong Jin-ki) signed a meaningful business agreement for exchange and cooperation in the ‘forklift electrification business’.

Through the electrification project of operating forklifts

Occupying technology and market advantage

With this MOU, the three companies are expected to cooperate to participate in the emission reduction project of the Ministry of Environment, share performance test results, and continue to cooperate in mutual sales and maintenance of electrification-related products. An official said, “The collaboration between the three companies is one of the emission reduction measures introduced by the Ministry of Environment, and it is meaningful in that it can expand the electrification business to replace old diesel forklifts. We will make efforts to seize technological and market advantages through the electrification project of forklift trucks by utilizing the expertise of each company.”

The cooperation of the three companies is very encouraging. Through ‘JS Limousine’, a company that produces carnival and Mercedes-Benz V-class high limousine conversions, it provides the best cover vehicle service to customers. Otto Global has core competencies in electric vehicle engine power and powertrain structure design, and it will be in charge of all parts of the design in this project.

Auto Global is in charge of mechanical design and engineering of electrical parts, concentrating on vehicle electrification, modification and manual production, and reducing eco-friendly emissions.

Ceracomb has been certified as a green technology by the Ministry of Environment with its smoke reduction device that removes fine dust generated from industrial sites. The company has expanded the application of exhaust gas reduction devices to construction machinery, ships, power plants, etc., taking technological advantage through domestic patents. In this project, based on its experience in replacing old forklift engines, it will use its own technology to participate in the Ministry of Environment‘s contests, suitability evaluation, recruit vehicles for pilot projects, and make business proposals, and will also focus on follow-up management.

Hongjin has a nationwide new and renewable energy distribution network and lithium iron phosphate battery packing technology. The company has been in the business of selling lithium iron phosphate batteries for forklifts since last year, and is contributing to the popularization of lithium iron phosphate batteries by providing BYD, HANGCHA, and EP electric forklifts under the brand KLIFT. In this project, Hongjin will be in charge of vehicle electrification development and technical support, motor, battery, BMS key parts supply, and additional model technology development.

An official said, “It is of great significance that companies based on solid technology are working together to build an eco-friendly environment. With this cooperation as a starting point, we plan to expand the scope of development of electrification models to large-scale construction heavy equipment in the future.”

Lithium iron phosphate electric forklift for agricultural and livestock production launched

Progress of KLIFT lithium iron phosphate forklifts

Changes in the battery market are also taking place in the logistics field. This is because accidents can happen every moment due to the vast amount of goods. Naturally, interest in safer and more efficient logistics equipment is increasing. At the center of the interest is the lithium iron phosphate battery. It has a short charging time, a long running efficiency, can last for a long time, and shows high efficiency in terms of safety. Hongjin has a national logistics equipment distribution network and unrivaled lithium iron phosphate battery technology with which it stands out in the field. The company introduced the KLIFT lithium battery forklift last year, and made a leap forward in the domestic electric forklift market by preemptively supplying lithium iron phosphate logistics equipment from EP, which is known as the world’s leader in logistics equipment. Hongjin is also a lithium iron phosphate battery OEM manufacturer, and based on EVE Cell, a global battery company, is concentrating on technology development and supply in collaboration with RoyPow. The company received high praise with KLIFT Lithium Iron Phosphate Electric Forklift for Agriculture at the 2022 Korea International Exhibition of Machinery, Equipment, Science and Technology for Agriculture held for 4 days in EXCO, Daegu. This forklift truck aims to replace existing diesel forklift trucks, and can work in construction and industrial environments, including agricultural and livestock industries. An official from Hongjin said, “The KLIFT electric forklift for agricultural and livestock production is a lithium iron phosphate battery forklift optimized for agricultural and livestock production with a high ground clearance and convenient charging method by applying a diesel body. The large handle, ergonomic seat, and charging port cover are elements that can maximize the driver’s convenience, enabling improved maneuverability and easy management. The KLIFT electric forklift is a new version equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries based on know-how in lithium iron phosphate battery operation. As Hongjin started supplying it to Korea, the atmosphere is quite encouraging. KLIFT forklift trucks can be found online/offline in various tonnage ranges from 1.5 tons to 5 tons at an affordable price. KLIFT lithium forklift trucks also support Korean language instrument panel. With the release of KLIFT electric forklifts with a battery guarantee of up to 5 years, it is also an indispensable advantage that you can escape from the stress of battery maintenance and replacement.
