The Ministry of Economy and Finance and Yonhap Infomax held the 9th Korea Treasury Bond at Fairmont Ambassador Seoul on Tuesday, October 25th. This conference is an event where global investment institutions and government bond market institutions attend each year to exchange opinions on domestic and foreign financial market trends and the development direction. This year's event was held as a large-scale offline event with 250 participants, and was also broadcast live online through the Yonhap Infomax YouTube channel. The Bank of Korea participated as a speaker, and the government and monetary authorities gathered in one place, giving an opportunity to diagnose the current government bond market and share its future vision. Deputy Prime Minister Choo evaluated that the Korean government bond market is facing changes and challenges, such as the outstanding balance of government bonds surpassing 1,000 trillion won for the first time this year. He said that he would not hesitate to improve the system beyond the existing framework if necessary for the advancement and stable management of the government bond market, and that he would constantly communicate with relevant institutions and market participants.
