China’s influence on the global market is creating a boom in Chinese language learning. Early adopter parents are busy finding a good school where their children can learn Chinese easier and better. Chinese in fact is not an easy language to learn especially when it comes to speaking as it has strong up and down intonations. Many children and their parents experienced dropout due to this difficulty as children get bored easily if it is not fun.  Jeongyeon Park, CEO of Wecref, took this problem seriously and introduced the fun Chinese learning contents Chaipang.

Park studied at Fudan University, Shanghai and observed that students from the west spoke better than students from Asia. She dug to find out what might be the reason behind this. She came to a conclusion that the west learns speaking first and reading and writing later but the Asians the other way around. The reason being found, she launched development of an effective speaking program focused on visual and sound and after some time introduced Chaipang.

“I developed the learning contents for children to keep focusing and concentrating through visual images and sounds. This way, children are naturally engaged and motivated to sing along with characters appearing in the contents or game along and play along so that they speak Chinese as natural as mother tongue without themselves knowing. They can learn the difficult intonation like they learn do, re, mi, fa, sol, ra, ti in the piano playing. This is what Chaipang is about.” explains Park.

Children can start with most frequently used phrases in everyday life so that they can apply right away after learning at home, school, park or mart. Each phrase is designed to be used in many different situations so that mastering one phrase can be applied in many.

A total of 33 Chaipang books are sold on the market and Chaipang Kids is run on its Youtube channel to support the fun learning.
