Many of us will agree that a good restaurant should have a good hygiene, ambience, service, taste and price. Recent trend tells us that young dinners value ambience more than other factors to consider. Samkeopsal, pork belly, is one of the most commonly enjoyed foods in South Korea. Numerous samkeopsal restaurants are found on the streets of a village and they are fighting fiercely to secure a better corner and an attraction with differentiated ambience and menus. 

 

333 Samkeopsal gives an ambience like you have come to a camping  site in the heart of a city. Started from delivery only, the words spread fast from mouth to mouth and demand was getting high that CEO Youngjae Jang could not help but opening a restaurant December last year. 

Jang is second to none when it comes to the love of samkeopsal. And he did not want to open a samkeopsal restaurant that can be found anywhere. He wanted to bring up something new and creative. He then was struck with this camping idea where people go camping and do barbecue. Thus born was 333 Samkeopsal.

Tables are laid out with enough distance from other tables because the concept is camping. On the floor is artificial lawn, wooden deck and pebbles. Out of the window on the second floor is an excellent city view. Lamps are hung here and there and in the middle of the restaurant is a photo zone for dinners to leave memories. 

 

“Because of the ambience, most of my dinners are families often with children. We do not carry charcoal fire here and there in the restaurant for safety reasons and this allows children to run away like they have come to a camping site.” explains Jang.

 

Dinners are swarming in and you might have to queue especially it is dinner. The ripen pork belly and the bisque firing give an excellent dining experience you cannot forget. You might expect it will be expensive but to your surprise 200g pork belly costs you only 12,000 won ($9.24 USD). 

 

“We use Duroc pork from Spain. Duroc pigs are field-grown in clean air and it is received as one of the top 3 porks in the world for excellent texture and taste.” says Jang. <PowerKorea>
