South Korean car giant Hyundai Motor's EV IONIQ 5 won the UK Car of the Year 2022. The model received highest scores among 10 short listed EV models after screenings and votes from 29 judges chosen among car reporters including TopGear. 

Editor of the awards John Challen said "Hyundai IONIQ 5 feels like the future of motoring and the design, performance and practicality make it a fantastic proposition for those looking for an electric vehicle, and also a very worthy winner of the title ‘UK Car of the Year 2022."

Prior to the winning, IONIQ 5 was chosen for the German Car of the Year 2022, the Best Import Cars of the Year in EV by Auto Bild, and the Best EV by Auto Zeitung. 

UK motoring magazine Auto Express gave IONIQ 5 the Car of the Year 2021, the Car of Commercial Vehicles and the Premium EV at its New Car Awards. IONIQ 5 also won the TopGear's Electric Awards, Car Design Review and the IDEA Design Award. 

Hyundai Motor holds Barbara Kruger exhibition

Hyundai Motor held its 6th project art exhibition 'Barbara Kruger: Thinking of You. I Mean Me. I Mean You.' at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art from March 20 to July 17. The exhibition is collaborated with the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Modern Art New York. 

Outside walls of the main building are large installations and public art themed on 'Untitled Car' of IONIQ 5. The Untitled Car of IONIQ 5 is driving towns of LA during the exhibition period. 

Thomas Schemera, Hyundai Motor Head of the Customer Experience Division, said that Hyundai and the LACMA had worked together for various exhibitions and Kruger's works had inspired many people and IONIQ 5 had walked closer to drivers through public art this time. 

Michael Govan, Director of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, said that thanks to Hyundai people can enjoy works of Barbara Kruger.

Hyundai Motor and the LACMA have collaborated since 2015. 'The Space Between: The Modern in Korean Art' is scheduled to be held at the LACMA in September this year. <PowerKorea>
