South Korean Economy and Finance Minister Namki Hong met his Vietnamese counterpart Le Minh Khai on December 14 at the Government Complex Seoul. The meeting was arranged on the occasion of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue's visit to South Korea. Hong pointed out steady growth of trade and investment volume between the two countries and thanked Khai for cooperation on urea solution and suggested a raised core parts supply cooperation. Khai thanked back for supplying 1.39 million AZ vaccines and asked Hong a raised investment in high tech and an expanded trade in agriculture. They also discussed on Korean companies participation in government-led railway and road construction projects in Vietnam and Industrial Bank of Korea and Korea Development Bank opening branches in the local.
Ahn attends ICT Market opening ceremony
Economy and Finance Vice Minister Dogul Ahn attended the ICT Market opening ceremony December 21. He encouraged industry officials attended on the day and signed business agreements with 16 public institutions. ICT Market is a platform designed to promote small and medium tech startups that boast excellent technologies but lack of proof and performance in the market. Public institutions carry out tests and approval and purchase their brainchilds through open competition. 9 purchasing institutions and 4 expert organizations have made deals. Since 2020, 279.4 billion won ($235 million) purchase has been made of which 80 cases have been designated as innovative products. The products created 37.2 billion won ($31.3 million) sales on the innovation market run by the Public Procurement Service. <PowerKorea>
