[Importance of Elevator Maintenance]

According to a 2008 report, South Korea has around 400,000 elevators running in buildings. Many industry experts voice together that maintenance in fact is more important than installing because a safety accident can lead to a disaster as it carries people and goods. The year 2008 alone had 154 elevator accidents. Thankfully, the number of accidents has been steadily reduced: 72 in 2019 and 86 in 2020. “A careless passenger also can cause an accident but most accidents actually occur due to poor maintenance. In other words, they were preventable if proper and on time check and repair was made” points out Youngsun Kim, CEO of Hanyoung Elevator.

[Hanyoung Elevator]

Hanyoung Elevator is a South Korean elevator installation and maintenance specialist nestled in Incheon. Its services cover everything about elevator: passengers, commercials, parking towers, vehicle lifts, dumbwaiters and many more regardless types, manufacturers and brands. The maintenance of Hanyoung Elevator is made party or wholly depending on client’s needs and wants. Some of the notable clients are Samsung Biologics, Kyung-In Synthetic, Gyeyang District Council building, and Namincheon Tax Service. The parts used at Hanyoung Elevator are domestically made for fast supply and change. Clients are encouraged to arrange a regular check for more systematic management of the elevator to prevent any possible accidents. Apart from elevators, Hanyoung Elevator’s ‘screen door optical sensor cleaner’ is received very innovative as it automatically cleans off the dusts and foreign bodies on the parts of screen doors which are installed in most subway stations in Seoul. It is also notable that the company runs a 24/7 emergency team to respond speedily in case an issue occurs at any time. “The revised Elevator Management Act in 2019 imposes the manager, or the person in charge, a duty to install 7 safety devices. Therefore, the elevators installed before 2019 should be equipped with the necessary parts on which Hanyoung Elevator can do it without a hassle and without installing a new one” says Kim. If Hyundai Elevator has a strong presence in passenger elevator, Hanyoung Elevator is in commercial elevator. Many have been installed in public institutions, shopping malls and post offices with the quality proven by obtaining ISO 9001:2015 and SO 14001:2015.

[CEO]

Kim jumped in the elevator industry in 1991 and has walked a single path for the last 25 years. He has worked for elevator companies big and small and built extensive knowledge and knowhow until he established Hanyoung Elevator in 2016. (PowerKorea)
