[EMS]
Many buildings home and abroad are running EMS (Energy Management System) for cost-effectiveness, efficiency of management and the benefit of environment. However, not all buildings are EMS-friendly. Sports centers, for example, use huge amount of water, electricity and gas and the monthly energy bill varies center to center due to different operation and management practices. According to a report, around 90% of sports centers are in chronic deficit with utility bill as a considerable contributor. To break down the average cost of a sports center, labor takes around 50% followed by the utility bill 30 to 40% and supplies 10 to 20%.

[Gungang Nanum]
A South Korean sports center management solutions company Gungang Nanum rolled up sleeves on this with 25 years of knowledge and knowhow in the field. The solutions not only cover energy but also membership and kiosk managements. The sports center-friendly EMS cuts off unnecessary use of energy and reduces monthly energy bill while the membership management realizes easy on/offline administration and the kiosk saves labor cost. Members and staff members can make and manage register, payment and canceling conveniently either on homepage or at the kiosk. Kiosk is loaded with facial and fingerprint recognition and QR. Even more innovative part is that the EMS solution shows the usage of the water, electricity and gas in graphs and figures in real time on the screen. The cost is calculated into usage per person in comparison with the average utility bills. The Gungang Nanum sports center in Daegu, for example, showed on the screen the total usage of water, electricity and gas per person was about 950 won to 1,000 won ($0.84). The figures are saved as data for the manager to check the desired period and time. When the energy is consumed more than the average, it alarms the manager. The EMS also checks and shows temperatures of the hot water tank and bathroom water and helps the manager control the machine room.

[Compatibility and application]
Gungang Nanum’s sports center management solutions are installed in many hotels, saunas, waterparks, swimming pools and sports centers nationwide at the moment. The solutions can be customized for more areas such as shooting ranges and golf courses for easy application and management with multi-functions loaded in the programs.
