While most countries in the world are using online platforms to carry on educating students in this time of the virus spread, tech experts carefully predict that the year 2021 will see the advent of block chain in educational systems in history.

Block chain is a technology that is decentralized and transparent to all by saving the data for every one on the platform. When applied to education, students, for example, can save their data such as learning, research, paper, achievements, etc and make them their own properties.

It is not surprising that the 2021 Regional ICT Innovation Square project is seeing a high application rate for block chain. And it is notable that the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups also have carried on block chain-based small and medium business model projects.

Korea Polytechnics Asan industry-academic cooperation director Choi Ui-sun said “It means that the government is recognizing block chain as a future technology and appropriate measures and regulations are being introduced at the moment. In accordance with this move, Korea Polytechnics Asan is also moving fast in fostering talented block chain specialists.”
