Hongjin Corporation is a company that sells and lends forklifts including electric forklifts on which Asan City mayor Oh Sae-hyun recently paid a visit with a great interest. Hongjin also is the sole distributor of BYD electric forklifts. BYD is a Chinese automobile company headquartered in Shenzhen, China. 

BYD has shown a steady 30% growth a year and its lithium battery forklift is received well in South Korea for cost-effectiveness, no distilled water recharging and 90 minute full recharging time. Lithium iron phosphate also is fire-free from over charge, discharge or outer impact. A single recharging lasts for 6 hours which is enough to carry on a single job without a halt.

If other batteries cost more or less 5.24 million won ($4,659) a year for maintenance, lithium iron phosphate only costs around 1.53 million won. Those who do not have sums of money can rent a forklift that comes with excellent maintenance services and equity compensation on the remaining value. When compared to diesel forklift, lithium battery forklift costs only around 70,000 to 100,000 won ($88) a month in fuel expenses. In addition, the battery-powered forklift is eco-friendly which is good for environment. 

Those who have used BYD electric forklift said that the battery lasts longer as well as the performance and efficiency. The battery is near zero percent possibility of fire outbreak, according to Hong Jin-ki, CEO of Hongjin Corporation.

One of the biggest advantages of using Hongjin forklifts is at FBMS. FBMS stands for Forklift Battery Monitoring System. The system records operating time slot, real time battery status and the distilled water recharging time. In other words, Hong says, FBMS manages each forklift effectively and efficiently with minimum labor costs and thus saves management cost. The system is conveniently controlled on either PC or smartphone wherever and whenever.
