Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport reported that 25,000 caravans registered last year, a 19 times increase in number, with estimation of around 6 million campers from 600,000 on 2011. One notable thing on this report is that the age of owners went down to 30s and 40s, meaning it is becoming a nationwide trend. About 6,000 vehicles are remodeled as caravans and the market is expected to be worth around 130 billion won (108 Million USD).

Unicamp

Unicamp is a South Korean caravan maker. Since its establishment, the company achieved 13 billion won sales in 2019 from 2.2 billion won in 2017.

Oh Wan-gon, CEO of Unicamp, is a man of great energy and passion that he has been running his own online caravan club and YouTube channel with the former being subscribed by 8,500 members who own a caravan: it is around 100,000 people if included monthly visitors alongside the members.

From last February to March, Oh led the world's first caravan expedition starting from LA and ending at Seattle via Alaska under the name of Unicamp which attracted a great attention from caravan owners.

Practicality

Practicality of Unicamp caravan is known far and wide. From rooftop tent and attic concept to practical storage and attention to detail interior, CEO Oh's unique ideas and immaculate executions are unrivalled, said those who received his services.

As Oh himself is a caravan owner and an engineer, safety comes as top priority; and then comes practicality of the composition and the installation of smart control for convenience.

This of his unique and excellent skills and services has not only been recognized homeland but also overseas. Starting with the LA Limousine Show last March, Oh has been actively engaged in promoting the excellence of Unicamp to potential clients of the world.

"Chabak (staying overnight in a car) is a new trend in South Korea. Competitions are fierce among service providers while big automotive companies are also introducing customized models. As CEO of Unicamp, I'm determined to make strong presence in the field with ambition to challenge for the huge market in North America."
